I'm not quiet when I play with myself
0
I've been playing fallout 3 lately and I noticed that I talk a lot even though I know for a fact that the game can't hear me. There's this one point where people say stuff to me and I respond to them by saying someshit in real life, and then doing whatever I need to do in game. My only guess as to why I do this is because I'm so into the game that I feel like I'm part of it.
Does anybody else talk while playing their game? I mean this only for when you're alone. I bet most of you curse at the screen if shit goes wrong.

I treat games like I treat movies. I'll comment on the music, if it's particularly good or bad, and I will answer people talking with sarcastic comments when it feels necessary. Doesn't much matter if I'm alone or not, once you immersed in a game, I get the urge to interact.

I talk all of the time when I'm playing a game. Then again, I talk a lot to myself period always have, and it reflects when I'm playing a game.
More disturbing however, is my particularly foul mouth when I'm playing a game and it doesn't go my way, especially when playing an online game like Halo 3. I can't believe I haven't gottena bad rep for being reported for foul language. XD

I wouldn't really call it "talking to yourself," but rather "thinking out loud" since no matter how I look at it, I just say what I'm thinking.

I still remember when i was trying to kill the last Bowser in SM64 and that motherfucker just didn't want to hit any of those explosive balls, frustration max.

I curse from time to time when something completely goes wrong in or something unfair happens. I try to stay quiet when I play some of my games. Talking something kills the atmosphere.
Mario Kart on the other hand is an excellent way to invent new swear words. Fucking piece of shit blue shells are always ruining my fun. :(

^This again.
I didn't just yell at it. I kicked a fucking hole in my wall.
Spoiler:
Monster Hunter single player, when I first started playing, I was fighting Basarios for like the 4th time and I ALMOST had him, chest burst open, tail cut off, been limping for a awhile, 2 minutes left on the clock. And one of those fucking bugs KNOCKED ME RIGHT INTO HIS CHARGE.
Suffice to say, I was less than pleased.

Yeah. Strangely, I was able to pull it off only on the third time on the DS version.
On topic, I don't usually talk out loud while playing games by myself. Moments when I swear include: any Ultimate Mode fight in Virtual On: Marz, getting Critical'd in Persona 3: FES, trying for the 50th time to capture Cresselia in an Ultra Ball, trying for the 20th time trying to capture Mewtwo in anything but a Master Ball, any time the Bonus Battle Gauge breaks in Star Ocean 3, and the like.

Personally I comment on games. I don't talk like "Shit gotta duck" but if an explosion blows me up near me and I barely live I'll go "Jesus sweet fuck!" I'll also mock games for poor narrative. Besides that in RPGs such as Fable and shit I'll talk to myself. I enjoy solo Role Playing. Multiplayer RP is just gay.

This happens to me mostly when playing RPGs/FPSs.
For example, in RE4, whenever Leon said something "witty", I'd make an equally "witty" remark. Looking back, if I had listened to myself, I'd sound retarded.

omg i so agree as well, and you play MH too? XD (although i dont break my wall XD)
>>; i remember the one time i got especially pissed with the overgrown JUMP teostra. I broke every part of its body and im very sure its already weak, and then it did a clawswipe so huge, a panic jump cudnt escape it, and it instantly charged right at me as i was flung away by the claw swipe. instant death. and ive wasted 48 minutes of my life >>;
and yes, also agree with rbz xD i do talk to the in-game characters irl too without realizing it.

I'm sometimes losing my cool.
WHAT THE FUCK ASSHOLE? a common sound leaving my mouth when I'm critted to death by the same player several times in a row in TF2.
I'm extremely raging in RTS games at times, but those are mostly situations I was, when looking back, literally asking for it. For example, tower-walling/mining the back of my base while leaving the front completely open in a plan to decide the whole thing in a single battle (Complete annihilation through sandwiching.) and I'm thinking my enemy wouldn't be so bad as to rush in bluntly through the front and ruin the setup, then he does exactly that and I'm raging like "How can you resort to such fucking lame, predictable tactics and still win!" and slam the table in anger.

I'm a master of yelling in anger with some games. This seems to be happening a lot lately in CoD:WaW...
If I'm playing in a hardcore server and I just die out of nowhere, I'll say something like "what the fuck just hit me!?!?"
And when I'm playing in a server that has the death cam and I die from something stupid like a grenade thrown 60 feet while blind through smoke and it lands on my face, then I'll tend to say something like "stupid ass lucky shit....god damnit" 8)

I have a tendency to provide my own running commentary and witty remarks progressing through a story (especially when they make the mistake of saying something will be easy or that they'll just 'report back'), particularly in horror or action games where things get a little ridiculous at times. :P

Certain games I'm quiet, but others I'm not. usually its the RE:5 and FEAR styled games that get me into commentator mode. Doesn't matter if I'm alone or not.

yep that's me im always have a "conversation" with my games no matter what type it is.I'm always into whatever im playing so i end up talking out loud.

I curse at my screen all the time when something fucked up happens on my xbox, doesn't matter what game I'm playing it'll always happen. There's only one solution to all the rage that you pent up from bad shit in games is to buy a punching bag and have it right next to you when you play. Then rather than breaking your controller or something you can beat the shit out of your punching bag, great way to vent your anger. And I don't know if its a bad habit or what, but for some reason I only feel comfortable and focused when I'm pretty close to the screen or standing up.
