This is good news. I never actually completed the trilogy. I beat the first one and got about half way through the second one.

i dont see the point in this, considering they already have the trilogy on ps3 as well.
also i dunno how it's supposed to boost sales when it's just a re-release of a re-release of games released half a decade ago

I think it's to give people another reason to buy a Vita. Alot of people will buy a Vita game that they already have on console just for the handheldness. Also, people who haven't played the game yet will be more willing to try it on a Vita over sitting down a trying it on PS3.Given this, if they keep porting PS2 games to the Vita, even though it might upset alot of people, it's gonna delight alot more people (as you can see from the comments from this and other threads like this).
Just my take on it.

it doesn't upset me. it just bothers me how sony is in a pretty deep rut and somehow re-releasing games again is supposed to help them.
also theres plenty of ps2 games they dont have on there. what happened to the Onimusha trilogy? not to mention cant you play ps2 games downloaded from the psn anyways on your vita?

Well, I think you can only play games that are released on both systems. Like, I can play the Threads of Fate I bought for PS3 on the Vita, because it also in the Vita store, but I can't play the Crash Bandicoot I bought on PS3, and i assume that's because it is not in the Vita store. So if they release this, the PS3 version people already bought migt then be usable on Vita, i guess?
