Killer Instinct - Combo Breaker!
0
Watch as a crowd gets unbelievably hyped over the return of the Killer Instinct series. With a legendary reputation in the fighting genre and a team of old and new faces dedicated to upholding the brutality the game is known for, it might just take the throne and bring the glory days of old into the here and now.

I honestly don't have high hopes for this.I'm going to wait until I see a couple more game-play videos before I make my judgement on it's quality. Though it is one of my favorite series it's certainly not KI or KIG. I'd be interested to know why you don't think it will be a good game though.

I'd be interested to know why you don't think it will be a good game though. It's being made by Double Helix and given the history of games they produce... yeah, it's not looking great. This is their first fighting game they've ever done and I'm all ready nervous.
They may be getting help from a few developers who helped on Super Street Fighter II: Turbo HD Remix, Mike Z the creator of Skullgirls, and a couple of guys who helped with Guilty Gear, but it's not going to save it.
Mike Z even stated on a stream a couple of weeks ago that the new Killer Instinct doesn't even feel remotely similar to the originals.
He said it's a game that has ideas thrown all over the place from other fighting games and has a system that feels too much like a button masher. He is trying to get this problem fixed. I just hope they listen to him.

Isn't this following a godawful Free to Play model where you have to purchase characters? Fuck that.

Awesome soundtrack this. Don't know if I'll ever get to play this game but at least I can enjoy its music.
