Learning Japanese to Read VNs

You will need a lot of determination and patience to be able to read and understand Japanese. Learning it fast means nothing if you don't have those two factors. I also can't read it but I'm currently memorizing the Hiragana characters. I am just self-studying since I can't afford to hire any tutors. You can use some programs to help you with your learning such as this one.
One more thing, I believe that the best way to learn Japanese is by having fun while learning it. Yeah, just like Kaimax said, you can use manga, anime, VN, and etc. as your study material to help you with it.

Wow. Thank you so much guys. I thought nobody replied because I haven't get any email notification, but... Wow.
Well, I have tried to play with atlas, but it kinda hard. lol. Can you give me suggestion of a simple VN for learning? ( I prefer a new VN with great graphics and MOE characters... and minimal H-scenes - It's to risky to play 'dangerous' VNs too often ).
Btw do you have a good book to recommend?
For the meantime I'll stick with those Hiragana-Katakana first. Thanks everyone. :D

Any "Slice of Life" VNs will do.
Personally go play To Heart 2.

Hiragana and katakana is the easy bit
you need to know 2000 kanji minimum.
As you've guessed, writing is the harder bit.
Start speaking with the right accent from the start, i don't wanna hear weaboo shit pronouncing "kawaii" as "ka-why"

If you have an android phone, download these free apps. "obenkyo" for hiragana, katakana, and simple kanji flashcards/tests. "Aedict" is a good english to jap and jap to english dictionary.

I use translation aggregator for all my games as i don't have and probably never will have sufficient knowledge in kanji. First game i played was Killer Queen and it was actually a lot easier then i thought and i was kinda dumbfunded to why i had not done it earlier.

I've got the ones with simpler layouts

Enjoy!
As for me, I'm still learning little by little.
May I ask, does typing random Japanese words by the guidance of IME transcriber to figure out the Japanese letter counts? Then I mostly use ATLAS if I couldn't really understand the meaning of the phrases.
