the game looks sweet, skyward sword is set before ocarina of time and the skyward sword will become the master sword and the girl at some point YAY!The game is set before all the others Zelda games. It's suppose to be the very "first" Zelda, before anything else.
The creators described the graphics as a "moving painting." I find it so true
I'm a huge fan of the series but I'm not a fan of the wii. I always feel awkward playing rpgs on it. The only console I've owned other than the Wii was my gamecube and I guess I just really love smashing the "B" key than waving my wii control like an idiot.

I'm kinda meh about this...Same. I like the art, but the game play had me thinking: Same old, same old. I hope they spice it up with more than just a few new gadgets. Time will tell.

Oh yeah, I pre-ordered this today. That gold wiimote looked too awesome too ignore. Hopefully it arrives at my home before the actual release date.
The game looks way better than Twilight Princess. Not really surprising considering TP was the most disappointing game I've played in my entire life.

This thread is horribly underpopulated :(
I really like what they've done with the overworld; more like Majora's Mask than any of the other games. The relationship between Link and Zelda also has more depth, and the visuals are nice. I didn't like the controls when I played it, though...although a dodgy sensor bar may have contributed.
Twilight Princess gets way too much flak. I loved the story and characters, it was a bit darker which I've always enjoyed in the few deviant Zelda games, the music was wonderful, and wolf Link is no different to the various mask forms in Majora...
I fucking hated the Wiimote though, wish I'd bought the Cube version.
Oh and a vague relevance, because search isn't working and I can't be arsed to dig for the 3DS thread...

That said, Skyward Sword looks to be fuckin awesome. Can't wait to play it.

Because I'm lame and don't have a wii, I ended up watching a lets play of it, and I seriously want to get it, if I ever get a wii of course.

I've been playing this game for the past few days and it is awesome. The controls take a little getting used to, in particular the sword motions, but once you get them down pat it's really not that hard. I've reached the Ancient Cistern but I had to go back to Skyloft after my Sacred Shield got smashed by the Stalmaster. Another thing I'll say, the first Silent Realm was pretty tense for me. I was surprised at how easily Moldarach went down but the dungeon it was in was pretty interesting.

I loooveee this game. The whole relationship between Link/Zelda made me really happy! Instead of the distant Princess/Protector shit, they're actually friends and have a developed relationship between them - about damn time! Plus, could Zelda have been ANY CUTER!? I love how Link still stays as the typical non-speaking protagonist, but everyone has expression that you don't really need words to know exactly what he's thinking. It's awesome! And all the new creatures and characters? Very well done!

Beat the game today, safe to say this was easily the best 3D Zelda (I got to City in the Sky in TP, and nowhere near the end in the others, they were too boring or clunky).
The ending is definitely the best part, especially when
There are tons of wonderful parts in the game, and I absolutely loved the difficulty of the last few battles.
I only wish there was more optional stuff...
I might mod the game to make another story out of it...

Thanks for the -rep on an opinion. :|
I didn't like what I played, simple as that. It's not that they were bad (honestly, OoT is given so much praise that I expected something impossible), in fact, they were good, but they didn't keep me playing long, as I usually found something I liked more.
And nowhere near the end doesn't mean I didn't get far. I always beat at least the first 4-5 dungeons of any Zelda game before deciding if I'll finish it. That's not very close to the end.
EDIT: Fanboys gonna fan hard.
