I like the reaction time events during dialog that they added. It is on of the other video links in the first video i posted, but Shepard is talking to that assassin he is trying to recruit for his team. You can continue the dialog but, when the assassin says, "I have nothing left to say to you", you can pull the left trigger to have shepard push him out the window.
"How bout goodbye?" such a badass.
It makes the conversations and important dialoge seem more real time and interactive. Plus, you just killed a guy that could of instead been on your team. Game is going to be more in depth then the last.
A wrong choice midway in the game could doom you to an ending where Shepard permently dies, according to the director. It's like a japanese VN on steriods, where you get to also shoot up some alien/robot badguys.

I have also preordered the game. I also found out that your saved file from the first one will affect which characters you can have in your party. Plus there is also going to be multiple endings.

Mark your calendar and lock in your copy of Mass Effect 2 now! Leading video game developer BioWare, a division of Electronic Arts today announced that the epic Shooter/RPG Mass Effect 2 will be on store shelves in North America on January 26, and on January 29 in Europe. With its larger-than-life hero Commander Shepard, intense shooter action, nuanced characters and a rich storyline, the much-anticipated sequel to the original award-winning opus is one of the most anticipated titles of 2010. In support of the launch, BioWare is releasing unique Mass Effect 2 pre-order incentives at key retailers in North America and across Europe. Codes for downloading these items will be provided to players who have pre-ordered, usable when the game is released.
“Our fans are in for a genuine thrill in the New Year with Mass Effect 2 – the second installment in the trilogy will be of amazingly high quality,” said Dr. Ray Muzyka, co-founder, BioWare and Group General Manager of the RPG/MMO Group of EA. “BioWare’s fans worldwide have been eagerly awaiting this epic sequel, and we couldn’t be more excited to reward them for pre-ordering by delivering some awesome bonus content!”
In North America, pre-order bonuses include special-ops armor and weaponry that are designed to boost Commander Shepard’s skills and abilities. At GameStop, Terminus Gear is available with pre-orders, which includes the powerful Terminus Assault Armor and the M-490 Blackstorm Heavy Weapon:
- The Terminus Armor is designed for use in extreme planetary conditions, increasing run speed and personal shields, and augmenting weapons with an additional magazine of reserve ammo.
- The M-90 Blackstorm Heavy Weapon generates a high-powered localized gravity well, accelerating particles to near-infinite mass, and ultimately expanding the selection of heavy weapons available to players when they gear up for combat missions in Mass Effect 2.
Players that pre-order Mass Effect 2 at other retail outlets in North America will receive the potent Inferno Armor, which is used by officers to monitor battlefield conditions by recognizing elevated heart rates, and regulates sub-systems with extreme efficiency to allow for greater response times - together these abilities translate in-game into a negotiation bonus for Commander Shepard and an increase in run speed and augmented damage from combat powers.
The Mass Effect trilogy is an emotionally charged science fiction adventure set in a vast universe filled with dangerous alien life and mysterious, uncharted planets. In Mass Effect 2, players will once again step into the role of the heroic Commander Shepard, commanding their crew of some of the most dangerous operatives from across the galaxy on a mission so challenging that it’s potentially suicidal. Featuring intense shooter action, a rich futuristic storyline, space exploration and emotionally engaging character interaction, the game delivers an unparalleled cinematic experience.
Mass Effect 2 will be available on the Xbox 360 and PC.

I'm not really sure about the interrupt system. If Shepard goes bananas every time you react to it, then wouldn't that push you into renegade zone? I don't wanna be a renegade! Also, I really hope that Liara is back on the team. Fucking loved her.

An example he gave for a possible paragon use was tt could be for grabbing a hold of someone who's about to fall.

I think that there has been a thread about this, but I couldn't find it. (Went back 7-8 pages or something)
With only 1 month to release, what are people's feelings around the second part of Bioware's Mass Effect trilogy?
I think that the first ME game was awesome, and I just hope that this will live up to it. And I want to believe there is since the storyline was written in one part from the start.
E3 trailer in the spoiler.
And my own thoughts if anyone cares to read them. ^^
And a link to the Mass Effect official website
Ah well.. What are your thoughts about the game?

First of all: have you seen the newest ME2 Trailer by Blur?, I mean this:
It really rocks :-)
I really liked the first one.I have a great hopes about it.It looks better than the original, I wish that more of previous game companions would make apperance beside Garus & Tali. The combat system looks very impresive and quick time event in conversations are something what that game really needed. This time we have 3 female companions revealed (without Tali) and I wonder if each of them have a romance option. The good thing also is exporting previous game saves.(I deleted saves from my first playthrough as male, and now Im gonna start clear)Before I start to play it, Im planning on playing again ME as female renegate (to fresh my memory about the story) and then Im gonna start the newest "Bioware Child".
My "must play" of this year...

No, i hadn't seen that trailer... Released in the last few days right? I've heard that they were to release a full-length version of this during X-mas, but it isn't up on the site yet... But i guess it won't be there since it's not Bioware who created it. Nevermind, now there's a link to Xbox.com and the trailer.
I don't think it looks much better, still using the same engine and is supposed to have the same requirements as the previous, so I guess they only have upgraded the details, which still is a huge and important part of the visuals.
I'm really looking forward to having Tali with me again. I liked her in the first game and was a little disappointed that she played such a small role... For the female characters, if Subject Zero is the only one who you can pursue a romantic side-story with I'm skipping it altogether, she really doesn't appeal to me. But it probably wont be a problem since I'll play a female character. Mostly because the female voice-actor for Shepherd is way better than the male one, and I despise bad voice-actors.
I'm also gonna run the game again just before the release, probably the same week.
On a sidenote: Just pre-ordered my own Collectors Edition of the game. ^^ Almost 90$ ._. (88.47 to be precise with current exchange rates)

Its "Subject Zero" not Project :-), ohh I see that there is already thread about this game.I also love the voice of Jennifer Hale as female Shepard, heh I liked her in Jedi Academy and in KotOR as Bastila Shan...

Ahh, fix'd. Keeping track of details isn't my strong part in the middle of the night.
So Jennifer Hale does voices in KotOR and Jedi Academy? No wonder I recognized her voice then. Just as Kailan carries Carth Onasis voice from KotOR, and I know the one who did Ashleys voice also starred in Dragon Age as a minor role, I was pleasantly surprised when I recognized the voice. But it seems Bioware tends to use the same voice-actors for a lot of their games.
This is a huge plus I forgot to mention from the original game, the voice-acting and the well preformed body language in-game. It's well done and is probably the best fully voiced game I've ever seen that carries this amount of conversation. Not to mention I love the voice of Seth Green. ^^ It's way to often games fail on this part, making these scenes extremely boring and irritating, and you feel that the creators should have gone for text based conversations instead, (Fallout, Oblivion, NwN2)

Christ, I forgot how close this is. Hoping that they implement the PC improvements on the 360, improve the combat and get rid of those awful side-missions, but this'll probably be my game of the year regardless. So much love for the first one; it takes something special to compel me to complete a game three times.
