GREAT! i'm a fans of MGS since the first.

i wonder what story in this MGS 4. is it Snake chasing ocelot? or the continuity of Big Boss's story? i'm gonna check it! :D

I know he did as a character resoultion thing, but it could have still worked if she decided to live with Snake for his last months. She loved for the man not just the soilder stick...then wind up with Johnny

Also I wanted to play as Raiden...thats how great this game was.

After they come out of their suits, just run around for a while and wait. Eventually, the room will go all white. The you can whip out your camera, and st6art taking pictures. They'll pose for you :)

My review:

Metal Gear Solid 4 is the ultimate Metal Gear experience, so honestly, if you haven't played the previous titles, do so before picking this one up. Not because you won't enjoy it, you probably will.

After all, who doesn't like amazing graphics and good, varied gameplay? However, the story, the most essential part of Metal Gear, cannot be fully appreciated without having played the older games. Sure, the developers try to sugarcoat things with short flashbacks, but if you're new to the series, these won't help much.

Graphics
Huge, varied environments with tons of soldiers and robots chasing you through destructible environments. The real-time cutscenes are state of the art as well, the character models are especially superb. Hardly gets any better.

Sound
The good ol' cast returns, with a few new faces. So the voice acting is, as always, top notch. While on the batytlefield, you will hear gunfire in the distance, shells going off, everything. If you have a 7.1 surround system, you're in for one hell of a ride. Add to that a score by Harry-Gregson Williams, and you have audio perfection.

Gameplay
You can sneak, as Metal Gear veterans already know, and this approach is a good as always. However, if you choose to go out all guns blazing, you still have pretty good chances of making it through. The gameplay is extremely varied, and everything on the battlefield can be interacted with. The boss battles are an experience in themselves, especially one fought in a certain mech we all know and love...

Story
This is the last chapter in Snake's story, and all the loose ends have to be tied up. This means it will be confusing for newcomers, but this isn't supposed to be a newcomers game. This is a game for the fans of Metal Gear, those who have followed Snake from the wilderness of Alaska to the Soviet jungles. The story is full of surprises, and you're never bored. Look forwards to the final, FINAL cutscene. It's mindblowing, in a lot of ways.

Longevity
This is a game that can be played again and again. There are so many angles you can approach it from, so many routes to take, items to find and strategies to employ. Don't expect to stop after the first playthrough.

OVERALL: 10/10
This is what every fan has been dreaming of for the past 20 years. Snake's final story is also his greatest, and something everyone who calls themselves a fan should experience.

Please keep spoilers out if you don't have the decency to at least use spoil tags. Most people would rather not have a major WTF/awesome point in the game ruined.

Anyways, awesome game. Not that i expected any less from Kojima. I feel they wrapped things up well, the boss fights were fun and interesting, the game looks beautiful, and as always the typical MGS humor was great. So far i have beat it twice and got the Solar gun(SUNLIGHT!), Bandanna, Stealth camo, and almost all of the face camo. Right now i'm working on getting 'Fox hound' and 'Big Boss' emblems as well as the Altaïr costume(though, have to make a separate run for that).... the hardest mode is insane XD

if I remember correctly there is something good that you get if you can bat the whole game with 0 Alert sessions 0 Enemies killed (less the bosses)
0 healing items used and under a certain amount of time on big boss hard.

Uh I'm not sure

might just be making it up.

yeah, i decided to go for the Altaïr costume first and use the opportunity to get used to the hard made before trying for the emblems. Hasn't been terribly bad just yet, but I'll have to wait 'till i get to a boss fight to make a judgment on how slim my chances are at getting the emblems XD

Well, both forms of the bosses need be taken down with non-lethal means in order to get no kills. I've found that the twin barrel and the other shotguns equiped with the V-rings work well for this(though, need to use the non lethal sniper rifle and doll in their respective fights). Also, i don't know for sure, but after the photoshoot the Beauties will die followed by same cutscene you get when you kill them, this may count as a kill as well...

Yes, that counts as a kill. They die because they can't stand the reality of the world when not in their suits. Drebin tells you the second time you meet him.

Shooting them with tranqs or v rings does not count as a kill

But it isn't by your hands. you didn't actually shoot them to cause their death. That's why i'm not really sure it counts... when a FROGS soldier falls off a wall and dies because you knock them out or when you knock a PMC soldier out and he falls onto his own mine, it doesn't count that as a kill. Though, i didn't feel like wasting the time to compare my kill count at the end of an act twice just to see if the photo shoot matters XD
