Metal Gear Solid: Rising

I love the Metal Gear series but I don't know why I don't feel close to liking Raiden at all. Maybe it's because he sounds like a complete newbie in MGS2 even though people can argue about the fact that HE is in fact a newbie. And also at the fact that a STEALTH game actually requires stealth which he absolutely skull fucks by slicing everything in his way.

"But Ryouma after all that hiding in cardboard boxes and wall hugging won't you like to play something different, a more front on type perhaps?" -a friend trying to convince me

Hmm... well I suppose. Getting humped by a wall for 30s while waiting for the nearest guard to gtfo can be a real pain in the butt. So I'm going to buy this game when it comes out. I just wish it doesn't come of like a Ninja Gaiden rip off which would greatly disappoint me.

Also, a stealth camouflage is the least of what I want. It's a good reward for those who finish the game but please don't give this uber hax ninja the camo in the first playthrough. Otherwise I might sleep while some gradeschooler breeze through it.

I can't wait for this game to come out.

i seriously dont see how wall humping isnt an intergral part of any MGS o.o;; you dont wall hump, ur not sneaking; if ur not humping the wall, ur humping the floor =p (3 and 4 at least). Im pretty sure its gonna play like MGS except you can cut things. Besides, none of us can really judge it yet actually, the trailer is just too scarce, it just shows some of the fight scenes, hasnt really shown any other aspects of the gameplay. Too short of a trailer to begin QQing about it =p

I didnt consider it to be fortune's rail gun since it was a little shorter than I expected it to be in the trailer,it was like stinger shaped,I guess it will be able to extend.

Stealth doesnt exactly make the game easier,just some parts easier(sneaking past).Going by the technology available by MGS4,there are tons of ways to detect stealth guys now.

This game is set between MGS2 and 4 so we may not be in that advanced stage that we are in MGS4.

But i mostly want to know what happened to Raiden between those two games.

It was said Raiden was finding/rescuing Sunny from the Patriots.Along the way I guess raiden wanted more power so he became less human.

well, we still don't have a clue if his transformation is forced or voluntary, right?

based on the trailer when Raiden cutting the watermelon, how come when he vertically cut the the watermelon,the table didn't even get cut?
so basically we can set how deep our cut is, really awesome

well thats only my conclusion from what I read.The supposed theory is someone else took over paramedic's work on cyborg ninja and did it on raiden lol.

Yeah I think thats what the orange and yellow rings areas are for.I think you can soul slash people for the lulz

Still, why does the suit have high heels?

The suit has heels because raiden can bend his feet downwards 90 degrees to hold on to things such as swords.

Btw, does any1 have any idea about the recommended requirements for the PC version?

It seems this game will be out for multiple platforms: 360, PS3, PC. Am I the only one that feels slightly frightened about this? We all know what happened to FF13 when it was released for both PS3 and the 360. I'm not entirely confident this isn't going to suffer the same thing.

lol yea, it was mentioned a couple of years back. And yes, im having doubts about it thanks to space limitation, but i trust kojima to be able to make the extra effort to overcome the shortcomings of being multi-platform =X

omg!! tell me its true, tell me that this game is also for the 360?!?! cause I was reading up on my pre-order bounses on gamestop.com adn it showed it for teh 360

It's for PC, PS3 and 360.

OMG!!! heck yeah! bout dang time it a game such as metal gear is not a one console exclusive! sadly I am already have a budget and my games for teh year pre-ordered.

I can't imagine this on a PC...
