i hope its good but i dunno. the prime games were all turds, and at least this is going back to side-scrolling, but i have a feeling itll have way too many cutscenes and SAMUS GO HERE FOR RED KEY and Anime.

This games actually looks like it'll be really easy. The only thing keeping me from believing that is Team Ninja. Also I'm not sure if I like Samus' voice. :/

Also I have this rainchecked since January D:
Also there's a trick where If u go first person shooter and hold A while pointing don't know where you recover all your missiles and the last energy tank
but to avoid spamming they game will grow harder as u progress[/color]

For someone who prefers the classic games the old 2D platformers the Prime series is average. Looked at alone, they're highly enjoyable. At least that's how it was for me.
On one hand Metroid: Other M looks awesome and on the other I'm a little worried that it won't hold up to my standards, though with Team Ninja at the helm I'm probably worried for nothing (although the last game of theirs I played was Ninja Gaiden Black for the XBOX). Not sure if it's something I'm going to pre-order though.

well i feel the same way. one of the editors at IGN played an extra demo and said due to the lock-on the game feels as if it plays itself.

I am eagerly awaiting this game... The actual game play footage ive seen makes me think nintendo is trying to take samus in the direction of a badass like Dante from Devil May Cry..... The gaming world needs more bad asses, add the female gender to it ... i say if nintendo can pull it off well, im all about it.

Get Jinxed
I think this game looks pretty cool, but I'm not sure if i will buy it, mostly because of other games taking priority.

SPOILER ALERT
In thus email I will spoil some environmental effects of the game, however if you have ever played a Metroid game, you already know there's going to be lava to accidentally fall into, and a suit upgrade to take less damage from said act. I'll also be mentioning a new attack, but it's in the game manual and learned in the tutorial...
I've got about 6 hours logged in the past 2 days. I'm in Sector 3 now, and the only problems I've had so far is the physics while in lava, the new charge attacks, the lack of real scanning, and the utter lack of energy orbs. In all previous Metroid titles, lava was merely water that burned. Now it's sticky, and nearly impossible to get out of with any health left (before Varia of course). The new charge attacks feel odd in a Metroid title, and are sometimes a little glitchy. I spend a good three minutes trying to jump on some little bastards head before I ended up hitting him dead on, which is a real bitch in a 3d environment. When using the scan feature, you no longer get to see monster names and how to use some items. Rather, when focused on an item, your visor zooms in to it and highlights it, but then just sits there expecting you to figure out exactly wtf you're looking at on your own. Lastly, there are no energy orbs. You're fucked until you get find a save station.
Other than these minor gripes, the game is wonderfully bleeding Metroid. The game itself brings back retro SNES SM at every turn, its almost as though the just 3ded the old game. Especially the death animation. I nostalgasmed the first time I saw it.
Also, while the 2d - 3d transitions aren't exactly smooth, when has Metroid ever been "smooth?" I'm sure when I get the timing down it'll be fine.
And that's my 2¢, thanks for reading and all.
