i usually use my HH to break kushala's horn so thet annoying wind would dissaper, you can use a greatsword too, if you have done enough damage, he will retreat @ 25 minutes, and the damage will carried over to the next kushala quest till it's dead

I never did get the second Kushala quest.

As I always say, hammers are uber effective on this guy. Get a hammer that has 884 to 1040 atk. power and smack his head with a charged hammer when he's breathing the wind attack on the ground

I'm currently playing the game right now. So far, I've finished the first two Star quests and now working on third.
I've yet to play online or with others, since a majority of my friends do not know of the awesomeness that is Monster Hunter.
Also eagerly awaiting the English MMO. Get cracking, Capcom.

I am a archer female currently on this game ... I defeated a raptor king or something in the mountains with non poisoned arrows because I am a fool, almost took me an hour, seems this game would be far more entertaining in multiplayer. It was strongly suggested by the cute female manager of the EB games I frequent so I couldn't resist buying this. But I have gotten bored of the mission play style at 2 star difficulty missions ... *hasn't started the 2 star missions* I will get bored just pwning monsters in the dessert and jungle just as easy as I did the mountains methinks.
The opening scene was epic though ... I wish I could make weapons that sweet from every kill >.>

This game is really cool.It's cooler than Freedom and Freedom 2, because we can bring our cat to fight!
They also can use health flute, and another flute and put strengthen them by exercise.
There are some new enemies too, like Naruga Kuruga and Vespoid Queen
All of ya must try this game~

the stradegy I use is lots of flash bombs and traps try and make sure when you start fightin one you have the skill thats lets u see where the monster are at all times and they tend to butthug<--(my word for them staying in the same area) alot so just make sure you have plenty of recov items its a damn hard battle! GL!
plus a lightning or stun wpn work well try the dark lance wpn branch

i don't play MHFU as much as i used to since most of our adhoc session players are too busy now. just watch for the attack patterns of the tigrex and narga and evade accordingly. use lightning elem weaps (i use the LS a lot) on the tigrex and fire or lightning on the narga. use traps if needed. (shock trap on a non-raging narga pitfall on a raging one iirc). having armors gemmed to have evade, evade distance up and sharpness +1 helps too.

i played it (jap & us ver).in jap i'm still at quest star 4 but at us ver,i'm a great sword user.current armor kirin set lvl 4 still in quest star 6.using weapon black sword,black scythe and ravager blade +.currently facing black diablo and diablo's "four horns" mission.
i'm not that great because i don't have buddies to play with and in here most people are playing the Wii and online version.

Im A huge fan of the game Its a great game except to the part you get raped by big monster and what kind of weapon do i use? I have to say Great sword because it big and Strong ^^ And sad part its kinda slow T-T

yup. but then you gunner or bow member with sleep shot/coating. another good strat is to have a good hammer guy that keeps triple pounding the head. and once the tigrex is stunned, do a lvl 3 charge attack from the GS with attack buffs. XD
@viet it's true that the GS is slow but the key to using it effectively is to use the charge attacks. Unsheathe Critical and Concentrate are the GS user's best friend. You don't do combo attack with the GS, we have the LS and SnS for that. :D
