Does anyone who play this game care to share wat gears they are using currently ? like wat amours for gunner and blademaster and wat skills does it has ? and also wat weapons u use ? (do please expand more on the weapons like which u use fro which monster)i started out monster hunter portable 2 with using tachi (Long Sword) til P2G came out. I started using other weapons when i hit G rank, since longsword isnt as effective against certain wyverns that require precise dodging.

I soloed the entire game, mainly because i dont have anyone to play with =( and XLink Kai doesnt want to work ;_; (also, im waiting til i get a more stable Desktop computer before trying it again).
Fatalis fights are quite easy:
Black Fatalis: Any melee weapon can take this guy down. He is too easy, i wont spoil anything for you, so just try him out and you will see what i mean =p (his retarded snap and drag kills in 1 hit though, you have to watch out for that). Alternatively, if you use a bow, this fight becomes VERY boring, and i really really mean it. The only way a black fatalis can kill you when you use a bow, is when he bores you to death (literally, you'd get so bored, you lose focus and BOOM! dead).
Crimson Fatalis: Personally, i find him easiest with a bow, any melee weapons work here too but i personally prefer to use gunlance as the shot attacks pierce through his armor mode (when he enrages, he enters armor mode, reducing all damage recieved by 90%). Always ALWAYS stick to his body to avoid the 1 hit K.O. meteors of death, however, dont be in front of him or you will get hit by the 1 hit K.O. claw of death. Also, be sure to move away when he is turning =p those stomping legs hurt badly.
White Fatalis: IMHO, much easier than crimson fatalis, mainly because of the terrain, and the fact that the lightning bolts can be blocked. Use bow on the first run to break wings, chest and horns/eye and then bring in the gunlance from there on out (he enters armor mode from 50% to 20% hp). when he flies up to spam thunderbolts, just stay put in someplace you find comfortable and block.

Attack him, then roll under his legs or under his body before he attacks you. Keep repeatedly doing it and about the only move that can hit you is his spinning swipe. When he goes underground, run away from him in a spiral (in simpler words, run away from him diagonally). With evade +1 or evade +2, this fight becomes MUCH easier. Just gotta practice and know what attack hes about to use from the slight movement hints he occassionally gives out =p

But as you know, shogun ceanataur will change into another shell once it is broken, and you need to break the 2nd one too. By the time you break both of his shells, his health will be so low, the "massive" damage you will do to his shell-less back becomes redundant >.< Of course, if you want to do it that way, no one is stopping you =p every hunter has their way of doing things.
About the lance, rathalos lance is decent, but the best fire lance would definitely be the Black gravios one (crazy raw damage, slighly less fire damage, negative affinity [negative affinity is pale in comparison to the crazy raw damage it has]).
Best lances for me are naruga lance (only if your armor doesnt have Sharpness +1), and Dragon Rider Spear Geibolg (kushala Daora).
But just so you know, i do have the rathalos lance too (it can be really good when you have element attack up and you are fighting a monster that is very weak to fire) xD im a weapons collector.

lol ok.
About LBG, im not sure about jade typhoon as i havent got it yet xD (forgot its stats too, too lazy to check on it right now) but i believe it should be good enough =p
And yes, rajang is VERY easy with an ice elemental bow (im not sure about ice crystal, it should suffice actually, i used the Daora's bow if i plan to Bow him). Just play it safe and run clockwise (to your left)! Only shoot/sheath/unsheath/etc when you are VERY sure he isnt gonna hit you in the next 2 seconds.

wat about teh diablos lance ? is an actually a branch of from crimson lance and uh i am having abit trouble getting the 2 gendrome skull for the darkness spear since a paralyzing plus purple sharpness is very helpful when co-op hunting say G rank Tigrex ? also about the bow i am thinking charging it with mega juice and running clockwise, wat do you think can it work ? and the gendrome quest i use to farm the gendrome skull is the 2 gendrome quest by the upper rank quest lady but after 7 rounds not a single skull in sight.... ^^' 8)

Well, gendrome skulls are a pain in the ass to farm xD maybe you can try capturing them, it might give a higher chance for them to drop =P and if you have G rank golden rathian armor, capturing them gives you ALOT of rewards!

Arrgh not easy to take down a large upper rank diablos alone , and i am using meh ice crystal bow to bow it , any other suggestions to take it down solo ? i did think about bombing but it would be very resourcefully costly for me any more better ideas ? i do know that the fact the diablos is another one of those long HP monster to hunt ^^' 8)

Well, until i got used to it at least. There is a certain range where its best to stand where none of his attacks will hit you as long as you keep circling him. And when he charges out of range, run after him and stay within that range again (you have to find it out, its hard to explain).
If you plan to bow him, make sure you have power coating and some sort of damage increase armor skills and stuff (you will suffer from killing him too slowly). I recommend bringing traps and capturing him to save you from the last few minutes of fighting. Also, whenever possible, exploit his charges and make him get stuck at walls (which also means you shouldnt try to break his horns until you think its time you kill/capture him).
