Mortal Kombat Vs Dc Universe.

Does anyone else think that were this written in a comic it would be the shortest cross over event between two universes ever? I'm pretty sure that a bunch of martial artists who are roughly Batman grade in skill, will lose horribly to the first bunch of metahumans they ran into, after all they are at Batman's ability, just not his experience against metahumans.

Then this game is for ex. Batman fighting Raiden or SubZero ??
That's quite lol :)
But I heard that there are already games from SEGA & Nintendo where Mario fights with Sonic. Years back that wouldn't be possible too. But OK this is quite different...

Yeah but Superman is in it, and that just doesn't make any sense, let's be honest the only character that could put a dent in Superman would proabaly be Raiden, who is by no means as durable or powerful as Thor is, but they otherwise share the same powers: the ability to control storms, and Superman beat Thor unconscious the first time they met in JLA/Avengers. They will also probably have one of Earth's 3 green lanterns (4 including Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern, 5 including Guy Gardner but he doesn't really have a sector, since he is an honor guard), Wonder Woman, The Martian Manhunter, and a bunch of other demi-god/god level super heroes who, if they were willing to kill, could put their fist through ANY Mortal Kombat character without even trying.

It's a video game. Logic has no place there.

You forget that Supes is weak against magic. I'm sure a few of the Kombat characters use magic... Also, I think I heard that there is a red sun in the places they are fighting, so that was their reason in Supes being depowered and able to be hurt(I think, heard the interview awhile back...).

No, it won't. Contrary to popular belief, none of the previous Mortal Kombat have "sucked". I don't know why people get their panties in bunch when it comes to MK. The series has always been about violence and catering to the casual market. It will never compete with VF and other series when it comes to competitively play. I doesn't mean that the games are bad though.

Mortal Kombat and the DC Universe simply don't belong together.
On one side, you have Scorpion, looking all badass with his flying spear. On the other side, you have Superman, who can go into space without a ship and melt steel by looking at it.
90% of the DC universe can fly. Almost no one in Mortal Kombat can. That means DC has the high ground, which is a major advantage. Of course, DC has other advantages that are even better, like the demigod-level strength of most of their characters.
As for there being a red sun so Superman can be damaged - if there's a red sun, then Superman loses his powers. That means no flying, no heat vision, no super strength, etc. He'd get his ass handed to him real quick.
My main concern, however, is how you put the most popular DC characters in a fighting game. Does the Green Lantern simply get a thousand combos, each one creating a new thing with his ring? Down, Back, Punch creates a giant hammer, and Down, Up, Kick creates a sphere around your opponent? Is the Martian Manhunter a clone of Shang Tsung, able to transform into any other character?
The game just seems preposterous.

I was going to point out that the most common super powers in any universe with a large number of people who possess super powers are: nigh-invulnerability, flight, and super strength. 3 things the MK characters cannot deal with on the level that DC brings to the table.
I would also like to point out that while Superman is vulnerable to magic, it's not exactly like a magical attack will blow clean through him, it just takes a lot less effort to actually make him bleed using magic, he has been hit by Mjolnir (Thor's hammer) and not died, he actually got up and started fighting after a very brief period of unconsciousness, yes Marvel(probably the most powerful version of him) Thor was wielding it at the time, so he's not THAT vulnerable to magic. I would also like to reiterate that he can MELT STEEL WITH HIS EYES, from outer space if he wants to, so I don't foresee anything the MK characters bring to the table as being a problem for him to handle without breaking a sweat.
Batman is martial-artist enough to beat most of them on his own, at once, and then there is the current version of Batgirl, who is just a total monster (and babe) who is all of 19 years old and can beat Batman like a drum unless he uses a ton of tricks, even then I think she can take him, because she knows most of the same tricks.

Who knows for sure? The game may just be good or it may be pretty bad.
When I saw it my first thoughts were basically:
This game doesn't make sense at all. Hmm? They put superman in it. Last I checked only Cryptonite/Kryptonite (however you spell it- Not a huge superman fan) kills him or weakens him.. so why would they include him? Are you telling me someone like Scorpion, Sub zero or someone else is actually gonna be able to stop him?
Eh, basically the game may seem a bit silly because of characters used.
In my opinion it's almost like having a Naruto vs Dragon Ball Z game. Someone who knows both anime well will probably wonder how is it possible that the Naruto characters can beat the dragon ball Z ones. Sure Naruto Characters have cool abilities but Dragon Ball Z characters are much more advanced when it comes to powers.
I guess it all just depends on the gamer and your sense of logic/realism.

Kryptonite (dependent on color actually but green is the most common) turns off Superman's powers (some forms of kryptonite turn people into Superman grade power-set-clones, others do weird crap like turning people into girls or making them evil, different colors of kryptonite are freaking weird), and when he gets older he eventually outgrows that weakness, however his defenses are considerably lower against magic, he is also very prone to being transformed into something else, so basically anything that can change your form on the molecular level will change him really fast, thankfully only a few people dabble in that kind of stuff, then again The Spectre (hand of god on the mortal plane I might add) loves his ironic transformations, like turning a War Wheel into a giant tricycle.

You got it all wrong I have liked every MK game I have played. It isn't because it is a MK game I think it will be bad its because the DC universe is being mixed in that is making this suck for me.

Adding the DC universe to a martial arts game is stupid, especially considering even the most powerful martial artist in video games is considered low-tier when they are translated in the DC universe, they most certainly are not going to be pulling the attention of the Justice League with only their fighting ability, except maybe ,and that's a big maybe, some of the Street Fighter characters when they cut loose, but even then you aren't going to draw out any big names, unless you start blowing up the Daily Planet or some other really important place.
