My Ideal Virtual Apocolypse

Hey there fellow gamers. Figured I'd try a post and see how it goes. Fallout New Vegas is one of my alltime favorite games, but some of my friends prefer 3. I feel New Vegas expands on what made 3 great and adds in new elements (i.e. companion wheel, hardcore mode, challenges, weapon mods etc.) like a sequel should. I was just wondering which Fallout (from this console generation) you prefer, Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas, and why. Thanks!

i personally prefer fallout new vegas for many reasons.
1. hardcore mode
2. the casinos
3. many new weapons (I love that anti materiel rifle)
4. companions and the companions wheel
5. a lot of different ending paths
6. the weapons MODS
7. higher Level Cap 30+
8. the factions system

the only thing i dont like about the game is that it freezes once in a while

They are both good games, but after replaying New Vegas I like it more than 3, although the whole hero route in 3 was a lot of fun and I loved 3 as well, its a really hard choice.

I'll agree that 3 had a better focus on story. The factions kind of interfered with the karma system a bit. Also, the anti-material rifle is a favorite of mine as well). Thanks for the input.
