New PS3 Model

So, we now have the PS3 3.9. The first one was 3, slim is 3.5, and now we have the last "3" before the next big launch.

hmmm, I just want a ps4, ps3 and ps3.5 already is pretty durable to outlive a lot of things, so there isn't really a need for anyone to get this one unless your dies to some unknown accident or you never got one

i think it looks neater, but i agree with wanting ps4

Meh. Since Sony isn't joining this generation of consoles, I guess this is all we'll get from them. I'm not impressed, unless this is secretly a loli.

From what I heard, Sony lost too much money from the PlayStation 3 to make a console to compete with the Wii Nii, so they need to sit out and rely on the PlayStation 3 for a while.

well the nintendo knew how to market better in my opinion, instead of making it cost so much in the beginning they should have started lower, then when you add more stuff for it, up the cost a bit, I mean really, 600 right from the get go.....

That's what happens when you make your stuff so high-end that you charge loads and still don't turn a profit from direct sales. That's what they get for being idiots and trying to make it the best thing ever. Then lose to the 360 and get slaughtered by the Wii in sales.

I hear that, to be honest, I warmed up to sony because of the price drop, but I was rock 360 if it didn't die so fast

Looks cool but they should just make all PS3 backwards compatible with PS2 games.

Sadly that's too expensive for cheap-ass Sony. If they made a limited edition of backwards compatible PS3's for a few weeks, they would die by suffocation of money.

Sony's getting pretty desperate to release a new ps3 this late. The Wii U will murder this Ps3 just as the Wii destroyed every other console this Gen.

The Wii had a great start, but now it's just forgotten. Mine has been in a drawer in my closet for over a year now.

Yeah...when I go to game stores, I don't even look at Wii games. I go for used GCN and PS2 games lol.

OT: Seems kinda eh, especially this late in the game.

However, they aren't competing with the Wii Nii, since they're trying to make up for their losses. If anything, they're competing with Microsoft, who is also sitting out of this generation. It's not really competing at all, since they were idiots that burned through two generations of exceptional sales and more in a single generation and need to get their act together.

eh, wii U reminds me of the original gameboy, it is a good idea, but how will it stack up with the #DS which is very potable and cheaper and the psp with has a lot of capability once hacked

don't want to sound like an idiot or anything but why would someone go out and buy a whole new console when you can replace the HDD in the current versions of the PS3??
