Next Gen Needs A Do Over?
Does The Next Gen Need To Restart?

From what I personally hav seen, the PS3 is not a favorable console becuase of certain reasons that i do not keep up with. i was told that it was because of an online play lag, but i mean i stopped following Playstation when it first came out for $600. Yeah since then the price has been lowered, but i mean it was a shock to me.
the Xbox 360 is plagued with hardware failures, such as the Red Ring, E74 error, and discs scratching out of nowhere. great games, but i mean for how long?
(The Wii is actually a great console...for 12 year olds...and people who want to lose some weight. Madworld is a great game though, and Wii is not totally void of great games)
My question to you all is, do you think that the next gen should just STOP, and start over? Hault all sales of systems, go back to the drawing board, bring down their expectations, make sure they built their systems right, and make sure they do not get caught up in trying to separate themselves from the rest? Or has the next gen coem too far to go back now? your thoughts.

This generation has both been succesfull and a downright failure for some, but i don't think it's such a good idea to start over again when so many years has passed since release of the consoles plus they are probably already devoloping the next gen consoles so they will mostly wait until then.
Playstaion will have a new chance to redeem itself from it's mistake with high prices, i dunno if the third parters will trust sony again, as long they don't set such high price like because of the blue ray they will mostly have a good chance.
Nintendo will mostly do something innoative again but with hopefully better and stronger system but they have to be carefull to not loose more third parters or they will be in deep shit.
Xbox won't be as succesefull like this gen because of the guys who couldn't afford ps3 will go with it's Successor and since microsoft angered alot's of xbox owners with the flaws and all, well let's just say the playstation will probably take over the dominate spot on the market.
Well i sure both sony and Nintendo will suprise us in a few years and that many game series keeps coming.

Where's the "I don't care option"? Cause that's how I feel. I've had a 360 since 2006 and I haven't had the RROD yet. I do know that it's a fact since a lot of people I know did get it themselves, I feel like a lucky bastard since, for some reason, mine's still working.

I have played on all of the consoles of this generation, and my view is that:
The Xbox 360 had good games, but many downfalls, like the RROD, but still had graphics that beat the Wii. Microsoft needs to take a step back and rethink their consoles before they release them, or their their gaming console days will be over.
Sony has done a great job in there design of the PS3, but they need to keep their console price at a lower amount so the average consumer can still afford it in a lower economical status such as ours. They could scrap the blu-ray function until a time that it is less pricey. But even at the downfall of the high price, Sony can still make a step forward in the next generation console. Their graphics highly exceeded my expectations.
Lastly Nintendo. The Wii has been cost friendly from it's start. The Wii has had a unique gaming experience, but the graphic lack in crispness, unlike the PS3 and Xbox 360. Nintendo needs to expand their graphic capabilities, and they need to further expand the types of gaming, so it can still be family fun, but also more teen-adult gaming oriented. By that I mean more racing, guns, and violence.
