nintendo's E3 let down
0
being a hardcore gamer i was personally let down by nintendo's announcements. all the games were for the casual gamer. do you think that nintendo is with holding any information or that they just dont have any hardcore games coming out within the next year or so.
0
No hardcore games are planned so far seeing how they just threw down their hand this year. It's like the GC all over again.

The Gamecube had awesome Nintendo games. Blame third party publishers and developers for not releasing anything good. Nintendo can't release 100 Wii games a year by themselves.

the problem is that these third party developers arent getting proper insight about the wiis controller and its limitations. they either overutilize the technology and the controller cant distinguish movements or it becomes an unused novelty that is in my opinion is one of the few reasons nintendo has become the leading competitor in this generations three way feud. you drop the motion sensor controllers, some innovative first party games... and your stuck with a good looking system with no stand out titles that doesnt even play dvds.
its a great system dont get me wrong, but now that the novelty has worn off it seems nintendos line up is getting rather dull. the lack of power the wii has in comparison to its opponents is a huge gap and its setting its library back. its a shame too, although i think its about time for a come back i think the wiis incapable of producing results in terms of internet capability and overall community connection... except for mii parades.

You're probably right. That thing that bothers most Wii owners is that third parties are not even trying to make good games Ubisoft being the biggest offender so far. Besides Red Steel (which sucked btw), all they do is release crappy ports or minigame collections. Same goes for others.
Novelty or not, the Wii has the ability to produce some amazingly fun games than can't be experience on the other systems. But until developers start trying and take things seriously, I guess we'll never see those games.
Also to answer other questions, Nintendo has not abandoned the "hardcore" gamers. People can't possibly believe that Wii Sports 2, Wii Music and Animal Crossing (which I'm highly anticipating) is all Nintendo have. There's no way Intelligent Systems, Monolith Soft, Brownie Brown, NST, EAD, Retro Studios and SPD are not working on any games.

There has been one good violent game. I forgot what it was called. It is humorous and you run around as this guy slashing your light saber like weapon. A bit bloody. This game is pretty awesome.

Fun game and like I said before, it's something that can't be experienced on the 360 or PS3. Even people who didn't like it have to admit that it was a pretty refreshing experience. Personally, I loved it. Slashing people has never been so fun.
Here hoping for a sequel that takes advantage of the Wii Motion Plus accessory.

I agree. The PS3 and Wii are similar for one reason. They both have POTENTIAL to have great games, but those games aren't being made.
PS3: Few well made PS3-only games.
Wii: To many crappy third party developed games.

*goes to check his copy of Smash Bros brawl*
Yeah, the seal is still there but now it's just called the Nintendo Seal. No mention of quality whatsoever. It's not even in front of the case anymore.
Go figure.

Really that game is quite old. I remember seeing that game like what? 6 years ago?
Anyways I remember something about No More Heroes's ending giving a secret message that there will be another one.

damn never really looked interesting to me cuz it seemed very very repetitive. If I want a hack and slash they I watn it to be like Ninja Gaiden. I mean at least No More Heroes was fun cuz we finally got to twaddle or lonely sticks are a very long time.

I want that game, repetitive or not. I live for games like that. Basically all of the "Warriors" games by Koei I love. Mass slaughter is my cup o' tea.

How can you guys stand playing games like Dynasty WArriors? I mean it started off ok at first but now it is jsut f*cking rediculous. If you like bloody games that has you slashing aroun but with actual good combos in and variety of weapons and a REAL gameplay system taht is actually quite challenging, Ninja Gaiden 2.

The funny thing is that there are rumors that Xbox's new dashboard will make use of limited motion-sensor tech, but I don't believe it.
It is funny that Xbox is copying the concept of the avatar though. I chuckled
WII NEEDS MORE FUN GAMES
