I'm surprised there are a few FAKKU members that play this, I picked it up for like $15 brand new with a coupon. I'm almost finished with Book 2 and haven't touched it since June. Indeed the art is beautiful, but at times with so much enemies there are some lag spikes which is pretty annoying and some long loading times, but that doesn't ruin the game entirely, ok maybe for others, haha.
This game is pretty unique and I expected something different before playing it.
Most games should have the feature of switching the voices because I like the Japanese more.
Woah, how'd you get it at such a good price? I payed the full $50 and I got it in, like, April. What coupons are you using and where do you get them?
Also I think the voice acting is pretty good, although I don't have a big problem with english voice acting anyway, unless it is so bad that it becomes deadly. :P
They had a "final cut sale" or something at EB Games/ GameStop, they sold it for $15. I bought the game when it came out, but sold it back a few days later 'cause I hated it. But I had to get it for $15 so I did. And it's great.
Yeah I bought it at Gamestop on Game Day or whatever the sale they had and a brand new copy of Odin Sphere was probably the only good game there on sale. Also, I used a 10% off any Game Day item which was like $1.50 off so yeah I got lucky :D

mmm yea, odin sphere's a pretty sweet game, for some reason when I got to the battle with oswald (as mercadies) I stoped playing, then got back into it recently (now playing the Armageddon book). but ill say....the wizzards, when grouped together, are a nusance and fighting general uhh...berron took a bit of time.
ya know, i wanna play that other game that's similar to odin sphere, dont remember the name but its for sega saturn.... made by the same group.

Absolutely beautiful game, I only played a few hours into it before I stopped. Can't remember why... I think I just ran out of time. I do remember one of the boss battles being really laggy though. But this has inspired me to find it and play.
It's good to know you also like this amazing game, Jacob. Great taste.
The game is among one of the best, imo, and has so much to it. The art direction was perfect; the story was deep yet understandable; the music was beautiful; and the voice acting, superb. The game was amazing and it still remains as such to this day. I really wish everyone and anyone who owns a PS2 had this marvelous masterpiece.

First off, it's just a rumor. Second, it's unlikely they will be "remade". Thirdly, Vanillaware seems unlikely to be involved in the porting. Fourth, whoever is involved in the port might fuck up and so you'll still get Odin Sphere slowdown.
