Okami HD

Never played it, but the design looks good. Anyone recommend?I highly recommend it. I played and finished it (almost 100%) on the PS2 and even today I say, it's one of the most beautiful games ever. Gameplay is solid, the story is interesting, there are some frustrating moments but thankfully are few, and above everything the graphics and the Divine Brush (or what was its name) system makes it unique.

I was gonna say that it looks like shit, and it does, sorta.
The way the NPC's "wobble" their head while they talk is just... No.
The artwork looks bad but the game itself and storyline seems quite alright.
EDIT: You people really neglect bad opinions on something that you yourself like, don't you? Seems like people are pretty ignorant.

To those interested in trophy hunting for Okami HD, you're in luck, the trophy list has just been released yesterday.

If I'm willing to play this gem again, I would like to spend the time to, Okami was one of those PS2 games I spent insane time on to get almost everything because it was so damn good. On the other hand, I know I'll be going through headaches once more when its time to face this menace.
Possibly one of the most frustrating challenges I've come across in gaming, I spent nights on the original before I could manage to beat it.

It's... kinda meant to be like that. What, games can't take on an art style that's different from the norm? Or do you mean that the technical side of the graphics look bad/outdated?
OT: Forgot to mention, this needs to have Clover Studio in the credits. Apparently, someone in Andriasang said Clover wasn't credited in the Wii version. That sucks big time. =/

No, it's not that, it's more the "physics" on could say, I just like realistic physics even when playing an unrealistic game. A person madly wobbling their head just because he is speaking is not realistic in any way, or so I think anyway.

That's completely fine but this game is not supposed to be realistic in any way. I'll admit that it's a little different but you get used to it after playing for awhile. Also how do you think the art itself looks bad... the art in this game is beautiful and one of the best things about it.

Judging what is beautiful and what is not is up to each of his own, I myself find the art to be obscure and therefore not as good.
(It's either obscure or unorthodox that I'm looking for)

Your right in that art is completely subjective. I still think you shouldn't call Okami's art "bad" though. It's just not to your personal liking. Which is fine because there's plenty of art that I don't like either but I still consider very good. Ah well to each his own I guess.

Excited for this. Always wanted to play this game, but never got the chance to. This will be a must-buy once it hits the market.

Has anybody played this yet? How's the HD look? I just ordered the Japanese retail version of the game. Apparently, the Japanese and Asian versions have multiple text language options including English. I can't wait to start another play-through of this game with trophies.

Honestly, it's not another HD remake. IT's like they gave this a new coat of paint. It doesn't feel like playing a ps2 graphic game. I'm already at the last part, before The Ark of Yamato, no just completing trophies. I just need 2 more before boarding Yamato for the rest of the trophy.

$20 Capcom over charges :(Not really. Okami is a full game and $20 is fairly reasonable. The Wii and PS2 versions cost around $15-$25 on Amazon (depending on whether you get it used or new).

It's a good thing for me. Might because of Okami's highly stylized graphics, but it looks really great and clear. While other HD remakes still feels like "yeah this was a PS2 game".
People usually complain that HD remakes are just money grabs and the HD isn't significant, but in Okami's case it's not.

Well, I'm definitely happy that Okami gets an HD release even though I don't own a PS3. This was such a great game (I had it back when it first came out for the PS2, awesome weeks of gaming were awesome), yet many simply didn't know it existed, or just didn't try it. This deserves to be played and finished at least once, it's that good.
