My personal favorite overall is FF9. Everything is simple and the story was pretty easy to get into. 7 comes real close though.

My favorite would have to be Final Fantasy X and X-2. I like the story line and the game of course. Everytime I watch the ending for X I would always cry. so Sad.!!

My favorites would have to be either 6 or 8. 6 was among the best of the bit games while 8 was pretty much a drama in a game. Ehh, I would say that Final Fantasy 8 would be my favorite just because of the storyline and plot twists.

What, no love for FFV? Easily my favorite, the job system is top notch. I love the characters and storyline, too, despite the...less than enthusiastic reception it gets from some people. And it's impossible not to love Gilgamesh.
...Doesn't hurt that the girls were hot, either. There is just not enough Lenna hentai in the world.
Falling short of that, I like pretty much every game in the series. Four and eight stand out to me, in particular, though. Four was the first one I played, plus the characters and story are awesome, and eight was the first I played on my PSX, plus the battle system was fun.

VII is tops for me, but V is next. I love love love the FF that have job systems, but I never threw time at a game like I did VII. I think I've played through the entire game at least 2 dozen times.

VI.
IV is solid. Have not played V. VII to me is probably the most overrated game ever, though it's still not bad, still enjoyed it. The rest are good, but don't particularly stand out..
