Painful Moments

What are moments that pain you in games?

For myself it's when when 40 or more of my pikmin die a horrible death at once ;_;

Ha, reminds me of when I first played the game when it came out. Was probably 13 or 14 and I accidentally drowned half of my Pikmin. Man, watching them flail around, then all just die was so sad lmao

Playing Persona Q i always forget to save so you get through a floor or 2 and then a random battle you lose to some stupid monster...Now you have to do it all over, happened way to often....think i would have learned.

whenever I do something that takes a long time, or beat a hard boss/level, and then the game crashes/glitches out before I can save. Fucking waste of time.

MH4U Teostra that has been one of an example of my greatest pain in video games and that is hitting a wall over and over and over again

When i realize my team in World of Tanks is formed for the 90% of newbies/noobs.
You do tons of damage only to find out, 2-3 minutes into the game, that your team has been totally wiped out and you are bound to lose the match.

I am not a pro/unicum player (super average actually) but i have enough experience to notice when something like this is gonna happen.

When I play a game and forget to save

When clickers (read 'artillery') focus on me in their whack-a-mole games in World of Tanks. Especially when I'm doing good.

Two come to mind:

1. When you put hours into a game, fighting long and hard. You felt helpless with half of the puzzles and restarted god knows how many times since there is a time limit to the fucking game you chose to play... and then when you get the ending.... you get the shit ending out of 7... fuck you game.... fuck you... (Shadow of Destiny; it's a good game so if you like puzzle games I'd recommend it)

2. When you are playing a game and you are doing so well that you feel like a king... then you die... you totally forgot to save at the 5 savepoints you past or you had none to go to... or the game just crashes a cruel death.... you go into a corner to cry and cheer up with cartoons (;w;)

When you buy a game for full price only to realize you've made a huge mistake.

Dark souls 2, was farming for a while and then i die, so i think no biggie its not that far from the bonfire. On my way back i fell into the water near the pirate ship just before getting my souls back. :(

when playing Huniepop , so close to finishing the date sucessfully and then you make the wrong move and get a failure instead

The moment Aeris dies.

And I cried. Because it was like "OH FUCK! ALL MY GOOD MATERIA IS GONE!"

But then it was k cause you get it back.

Broke my keyboard because i died in Counter-Strike.

Whenever I die in a game with perma-death.

ESPECIALLY after I had sunk many hours into a character.

When Aeris is killed by Sephirot.
First time I cried for a video game character.
The feel was real.

Losing unsaved progress due to a power outage

So much rage was had when I was in a middle of a boss fight while playing Dark Souls...

A friend of mine pulled a prank on me back in the days of MHFU by selling all of my equipment and materials on my save. I had put almost 140 hours into that save and seeing all of it go down the drain knocked the wind out of me for a while, and after recovering from the shock of losing my stuff I got mad pissed and nearly beat the shit out of him before he revealed that he made a backup save file with all of my stuff intact. Still didn't stop me from socking him in the face though.

Since I'm into fighting games I am graced with the feeling of, "salt."

Salty moments occur when: I miss an anti-air because I was thinking too much, when I lose because I give my opponent too much respect, and a loss that comes by way of a throw that I didn't tech because I thought my opponent wouldn't do that. Those annoy me.

Any other game, I usually feel like the loss is my fault, so I sort of accept it.
