Persona 4 Golden

Anyone get this yet, and if so, how is it playing out for you. Is it meeting your expectations or not? Is it the game to buy a Vita for or is it a weak port in your eyes?
For me personally, since I never got around to playing any of the Persona series this is a great game for the Vita. I wouldn't sya buy a Vita for it, but it and Gravity rush might be a reason.

Honestly, the Vita's not worth the absurd amount of money it costs, even for just the WiFi version of it. The 3g version is just out of the question, being that I'd have to get a contract with AT&T just to use it. If no one finds that ridiculous, then I'd say take a good hard look at what that would entail.
If they start dropping the price on the Vita soon, I may start considering.

It was $180 for the wireless Assassins Creed bundle on Black Friday. Doubt it'll be lower anytime soon though.
So far, it's better than the original game on the PS2. There's a lot of extra features and cutscenes.

I'm playing it right now, and it feels like 'Hard Mode' is 'harder' than it was on the PS2... I'm not even 1/3 of the way through and I've been playing it since release, so yeah, the amount of bonus content is soooo worth the money imo.

The price is the big downside to the Vita, and unlike the 3DS it hasn't been lowered yet. Luckily Sony has announced a price drop sometime soon, and this is great since pretty much anyone who gets a Vita ends up enjoying it (statistically).

BUMP because [size=20]this game is fucking amazing and everyone with a Vita should add this to their collection!!![/h]
My only gripe about the game is its difficulty. I've played P3:FES not P4 but even on Hard, this game is fairly easy. Its definitely no SMT Nocturne or DDS. To its merit, the camping trip had me dying in tears. xD

Never got around playing the 4th Persona. But I watched the anime so the plot is no secret anymore.

I never played the orginal, but i'm lovin' this game (kanji is freakin' hilarous!!!). I see no problem buying a vita just for this game. I mean, it's not like it's the ONLY game your gonna get, right? Just think of it as a starter.
But yeah, the vita is expensive, and don't forget the friggin memory cards...

On my second playthrough. Still I dont see why people are agitated by the 200 dollar price tag? remember the psp? Yea that fucker was 200 bucks back then. The Vita? totally worth the amount of money you fork over for it.

Golden is seriously the definitive edition/canon of Persona 4. No doubts about it. Absolutely phenomenal.
Adachi S. Link
He's at Junes and out at night during Cloudy Days.
Get him to Rank 7 before that whole bit involving the driving and the hospital. After that it ranks up on its own, so long as you...
[spoil]
...tell your friends it was Adachi (during the scene where you have to choose which of the people you know is the killer (the scene where you, Yosuke and Naoto are out in the cold)), and don't keep your promise to your friends about visiting him alone. Choose to visit him alone that night. You'll get the prompt as you naturally progress down the [b]True End route[/b], so don't worry about missing it.
Originally it was the Jester/Lust Arcana, but "Lust" was apparently changed to "Hunger" for the Western Release. No biggie. Makes sense either way.
I liked that they kept his history ambiguous still, though. Really makes you wonder what kind of shit he went through to make him come out like that.
Personally I think it was probably something like what that NPC from Catherine went through, the friend of the boss? You know, the guy with the dark circles under his eyes and the white shirt with the red tie? Considering his disposition it just makes sense. [/spoil]
That special scene they added was intense.
[spoil]Where you talk to Adachi alone. Though it's clear the anime probably gave them the idea that this kind of verbal showdown was an interesting idea, the writer really outdid himself here. When Adachi puts the gun to the back of your head- Shit! Hardcore, mate.[/spoil]

Spoiler:
Well that's one way to max out his social link (and the canon way) but since they added new endings there is another way to rank him up completely...

Pretty much the same thing people said about the PS2, the PSP and the PS3 in it's earlier years. The Sony Consoles are always slow starters.

On an added note, I'm fairly sure PS Vita is region free so you can import and play games from Japan. If you can get past the whole language barrier thing, I'm sure it'd be fun.

Well I'd say the PS3 was a price problem at launch, not the game library (it was going to get pretty much everything as the Xbox).
