Considering what was happening in Persona franchise since beginning, it's not impossible.
If i remember correctly, in Persona 2 Innocent Sin there was some gay relationship *which is why the game wasn't released in US back in the day.
In P4 we have Naoto.

Looking forward to seeing how this game will set itself apart from the crowd. I doubt it'll become anything major, like getting a series of its own, but it would be nice to see it turn out better than expected.

[color=#006FFF]The trailer pretty much made my concerns toward how battles would play out vanish; it's looking to have a nice pace, and the Persona's don't seem to be in the way. At the start of the trailer, when they showed Yu and Narukami fighting together against, I was kind of worried that everyone would pretty much just play as Carl from BB, with Nirvana, but that didn't seem to be the case which I'm very thankful for.
Also, with showing her silhouette, I think it's safe to say that Naoto will also be joining the roster (as if that wasn't to be expected anyway, lol).

And while Naoto was a playable character in P4, Rise wasn't.

[color=#006FFF]By the looks of it, the characters that I wanted to use the most from the start (Yukiko and Kanji) are looking to be very good--of course, however, like with all of ASW's fighting games, I will be expecting some broken characters with easily spammable moves, etc. but I'm not worried about that right now. Lol.
