I just hope this isn't a game with a serious lack of Fire Pokemon. Not since the first generation has their been an abundance of Fire types to choose from in a game. -_-Fire is not a good type to use in today's metagame anyway with Stealth Rocks everywhere.

But steel being one of the most dominate types, it's not too bad a choice, that's what we have fortress for :3
I've NEVER started out with the fire type, but since the fire one looks awesome, I will use it as my starter.

And now the real starters, fresh from Serebii.net
Seeing these slightly raises my view on Pokemon, the 4chan ones looked so retarded.

Magnezone + Hidden Power Fire = Counter for all mainstream Steel threats. Fire Pokemon are redundant.

But not everyone cares about competitive play. In fact I'm willing to bet casual Pokemon players vastly outnumber any of the competitive players. Just because a Pokemon type may not be prominent in the metagame doesn't mean it should not be in the game.
Nintendo would be foolish to cater to competitive play until it represents the majority of Pokemon players.

Yeah, if I never have played my Platinum emulator, I would of never knew that there was a difference between Physical-Special and Special.

I thought that would be flying types also since stealth rock affects them more than any other typing while fire is a close second. Fire types problems i thought were majorly due to the fact that most Stealth Rock users also hoard ground type attacks to kick them in the teeth. But that was from what i thought after looking at the Smogon list for god knows how many times. But there are an equal amount of casual players and competitive players in the game today. But everyone has their personal oppinion on pokemon typing and sets.

This is all I can say for it. I know it's a shellfish, but this image has made it so I can't unsee it.(people and their paint) I already hated the otter but this is it. Pig is ok, evolution might redeem it, same with the grass type...but the water type...no...just no.

Pokemon keeps getting worse by the gen. EV's encouraged hacking to a large degree and now every competitive player hacks (even I do to keep up with opponents; getting a Pokemon with good stats and the right nature is extremely hard). Pokemon lost it's soul.
Also, what the fuck is up with the new water type starter?
