Anyone else think this looks awesome? I think its like final fantasy tactics/tactics ogre, but with pokemon. totally awesome. I wonder if shinies are in it other than rayquaza, and what all happens and if it correlates at all to other games.

Pokémon Conquest (Japanese: ポケモン＋ノブナガの野望 Pokémon + Nobunaga's Ambition) is a spin-off crossover between the Pokémon and Nobunaga's Ambition series of games, a first for the franchise. It was released in Japan on March 17, 2012. It is set for a North American release on June 18, 2012.

Getting this when it releases, fucking amazing. I hope it's like Sengoku Rance (conquering lands and shit) and the combat is Ogre tactics (3-2d isometric turnbased) and the RPG style is pokemon (Stats, experience gain, levels and skills)

This looks awesome, though I'm worried about how certain aspects will play out.
Probably no perma-death or monstrously evil opponents.

Nobunaga is planning to destroy the world, and he starts with zekrom from the looks of it. T.T

i know i was looking, and all the girls get like cute little ones. Another one of the chicks gets cubchoo, not even the evolved form, the little one.

My thread about this is was last posted in Jan, so I'm a bit glad it wasn't suddenly bumped.

OT: this game looks pretty cool. I already saw all the characters, pokemon available, "dlc" on serabii.

Now I regret I do not have a ds...

Well all the "warlords" got legendarys takeda shingen groudon, uesugi kenshin mewtwo, akechi mitsuhide articuno = Fuck...

But it seems your starting pokemon is evee (Yay~)

Will say the cover does look pretty awesome. And was pretty hilarious how outgunned the girl is with a Jigglypuff compared to the others XD.

jigglypuff will sing all of them into submission, and then rape them.

So I got the game Wednesday and its pretty addicting. I had to start over a couple of times because I realized I fucked up with who I wanted to link with the two Dratinis that popped up after inputting the code (My character and Oichi). One of the commanders that I really like is Ginchiyo, a female commander who uses electric types.

Fiiit i'm a huge fan of both Pokemon and Samurai warriors <3
Is this game getting a Europe Release, TELL ME ITS COMING OUT IN EUROPE

My only complaint so far is that it seems you are completely unable to switch Pokémon between warriors; there's just no logical reason for this that I am able to see. If it turns out my Lapras finds it can have a better link with that amiable girl she keeps staring at than with the dude she's currently rollin' with, why can't she simply swim her Loch Ness ass on over to her and flippin' link?! What, is abandonment such a difficult theme to deal with in a game that covers WAR? Absurd.

Still waiting for my game, but judging by reviews and gameplay the wait will be worth it.

My aspergers requires me to defend that picture. Pokemon conquest is hundreds or thousands of years in the past. The current pokemon games are current. T.T


OT: the fighting part of the gameplay is great for me, but i have to agree about the switching warriors and pokemon. Especially since you can trade pokemon in current games. I wish they could update it with the wireless download thing. like give you a way to trade between your warriors. i wonder what they were thinking there >.

Can they actually create patches that introduce entirely new game mechanics, though? Forgive my ignorance, I've simply never played a game in which any "fix" was required; I've only head about 'em. :3

Random spoilerish thingy:

skyrim adds fixes in patches. Anything with patches fixes mistakes when they patch it. I wish they could do that kind of thing with this.

Also that's perfectly reasonable. if she was his mother then we'd have some serious issues.

Hence the title "patch," yes; they can remedy screw ups in already existing mechanics, but the ability to trade Pokémon between warriors is a game mechanic that doesn't exist yet, so it can't be fixed. Only added. In the sequel. (please make one!)

True, in retrospect; I was just thrown by their contrasting personalities, and Oichi's hair colour.

More random thoughts: I can't be the only one who thought "Jiraya?!" the first time they saw Groudon Guy (yes, that's what I'm calling him), can I?

yeah XD. hes like jiraya+alder is what i thought.

just picked this game up, kinda felt really nerdy but still. Gameplay is surprising simple yet still fun. I do wish the menu's where a bit easier to navigate though.

And with the idea to trade pokemon between warriors, I don't think that would work with how the world works. A Warrior can only get pokemon by linking with them, as they have no pokeballz. The link mechanic is what blocks the trading.
