My favourite game is without doubt Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. Pokemon with Wi-Fi is win. Not many people still play Pokemon in NZ, you see. This is a vital feature for me.

Playing Pokemon Emerald on my VBA lately. The rom that I downloaded had a problem with it and it erased my file after I beat the elite 4 T.T
Fixed it now, and I'm going to try it again >.<
This time with mudkip! Screw treecko. Torchic is a chicken.
Favorite pokemon game would have to be crystal. There's so much to do before and after you technically beat the game. Battle Tower was a huge challenge for me to clear.

Pokemon Gold because it was twice as long as most of the other Pokemon games, and you could fight Red :D

Pokemon Gold/Silver and Diamond, both games brought plenty of innovations to the game, and my favourites pokemon are Espeon (u.u) and Mudkip (seriously xD ).

the really old ones where you play them on the gameboy... color was it? all i know is that the old gameboy was vertically long and you use double AA batteries for it... i used to steal my sister's and play pokemon..

Gold, twice as long, lots of reminicing, lots of trainers to beat up, rematch system implimented. It was just allot of fun. On these newer pokemon games, you never really feel like you have DONE anything after you beat the elite four.. chase douchebag monsters around the damn map, and the teleport to random squares anyways, and they run away as well....
Old school legendary pokemon had balls, Mewtwo would just be like "fuck you" and be really confused because he spams amnesia, but at least he didn't run away like a bitch.

My favorite game is probably Silver, although Sapphire, Leaf Green and Diamond all are close. I just remember nothing but fun while playing Silver. Well, and a bit of irritation that I couldn't find those damn dogs.

Pokemon Red and Pokemon Silver were my favorite games as a kid, and still influence my preferences today- FireRed and SoulSilver. I also enjoy a spot of White Version every once in a while.
