Why is this game not being discussed? It was an excellent game.
Who else is hoping for a sequel? I am hoping we can take the gun outside and really see what it can do.

Also, the cake was a lie.

I was thinking of picking up the orange box for this. What do you rate the game as a puzzle game?

Totally awesome game, Nines all around. They need to either bring chell, GLaDOS, or at least the gun back, the gameplay, while not the first time it appeared in a game, was done extremely well. One more thing, I'm still alive.

I can safely say that portal is my favorite puzzle game ever. Not just because the idea is new, but the script and the hints about whats going on in the outside world give the game an amazing atmosphere.

yeah, surprisingly good.

Had to post on this beacuse this is one of the greatest game s of all time. Love the humor and the inventive gameplay. Finally not just another cod and halo clone. Love how the portal team was picked right out of college. Valve in general is the shit.

Love the end song the most though shes still alive!!

For more Portal goodness check out this mod: Portal Prelude. Sure the voices get annoying after a bit but its still a good challenge for the portal ninja in us all.

Im gonna necrobump this and say: just played Portal and it was a great game. 8.5/10.0

Also any portal fans seeking a challenge need to try Portal Prelude and Portal Pro, both of which on moddb/desura.

damn, need a steam account. I already made one but I forgot my ID/pass. Wanted to make one but it keeps failing.

I already got it for free 2 years back when they were doing the mac promotion stuff. I got another free copy with portal 2. All this seems to do is make portal worth less than scrap in trading now, and at this point most long time steam players already have it by now.

Man, this thread is ancient. Gotta clear out all the dust. Portal was really good because it was a different style and all, but I prefure the second one. That one kinda had me going with the story line and all.

And to whoever said taking the portal gun outside, that wouldn't work. Thing only works on moon rocks.
