Well I'm 90% sure its hackers but still. I'm surprised no one has made a topic on this.
Anon really needs to fuck off.

I just seen it. I was planning on making a purchase on it this weekend for Phantom Brave for the PSP, but oh well..I can wait. (better than wasting my time and gas dealing with gamestop).

Maybe when Steamworks was integrated into PSN (because of Portal 2) it was also a means for Valve to put stick some malware in Sony's servers for some lulz? No but seriously, if I had to take a guess then this is likely a result of some vital servers malfunctioning for some reason and they have to patch it up, maybe even recover lost data on top of that, I think the hacker nonsense they're telling us is probably just some last-minute explanation to get rid of any blame towards them for this incident. If this really is a result of hackers then I'm gonna assume Sony had a DDoS attack.

I was in teh final minute of a 4 hour download of FF9 on my psp when boom, and error popped up. went to try it teh next morning and I couldn't log onto teh store of psn. asked around to see if my friends can get on, and they said tehy couldn't. and at first I thought it was some seriuos maintenece, but as I begin reading up on this. seems that psn has a hacker problem and has been a target in teh past. not saying that this is a hacker attack, but I am serioulsy considering not buying a playstion product ever again if I am to risk playing online or using teh psn when there newtork is unsecured. not to mention they maybe stealing funds from teh customers of teh psn. whatever they are doing. psn seriously should declare on these cyber terrorists and secure their network or risk loosing alot of customers.
UPDATE:
also it seems the problem has probly been identified.

"An external intrusion on our system has affected our PlayStation Network and Qriocity services" is what it says in the first sentence. hmmm I wonder if this is a cyber terrorist attack.

Anon Involved or not, this problem is unexpectedly not a "regular problem" for Sony themselves.
The odds that PSN malfunctioning by itself is small considering Sony is a large company, and would try to prevent all self-malfunctions. And that's why most people is assuming and speculating something "bigger" is behind the problem, as an example Anon, or a Hacker.
So, people are not "Mad", and do you have proof that Anon isn't the one "Making the problem"?

Considering I lurk /b/ on a regular basis and they arent claiming responsiblity. Either way it doesnt even make a difference. Shit Happens, Once this is said and done everyone will forget about it until Xbox Live goes down and the same thing happens. No one can be entirely sure.

1. Anon admitted it. Or atleast someone claiming to be them since anyone can.
2. Sony has admitted it was hacked. And that it will be up either today or tomm
Heres your proof

That G4 article is old and does not cover what is currently happening to PSN. Also, the second article states that Anonymous as a whole denies having any part of what is happening to PSN at the moment. However, there is still a possibility of individual Anon members acting alone, as your article briefly mentioned.

whatever teh case is. sony has to do something about this and prevent future cyber terrorist attacks on psn. if I was teh ceo of playstation, and luckly I am not. I would be hiring teh fbi to crack down on these cyber terrorists. they caused psn possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage as well targeted millions of customers of the psn.
UPDATE:
