I emulated mostly NES/SNES/N64 just because we didn't have those consoles in Russia and i wanted to see more of Zelda.

There's nothing quite like the games of old. Unless your playing a competitive multiplayer game, you will rarely come across the degree of difficulty that the old games had. I remember beating Star Fox on the super nintendo as a kid and taking a picture because I was so proud of the accomplishment. Now I pop the game in and I can barely get past the first stage because the games of this day and age haven't been challenging me enough to keep my skills sharp. Maybe I'm just playing the wrong games or my habits are getting in the way.

Spoiler:
really, I only emulated the old consoles to play through all the megaman games =/
That game is pure classic, hard to get bored once you start playing it lol.

I used a GBA emulator and looking for a megaman legends game. Most epic Megaman game I've played on any console, raging with a passion of a thousand suns that a sequel won't come out for a decade.

Neat game, although I wasn't aware that they also had it on gba.

I only use PCSX 2 since my PS2 went bust. Still wondering though why are the graphics looking terrible (as in wrong, I'll take a pic of it sometime).

PS is now considered retro?Goddamn, I'm getting old.
While I think "retro" is far from being the right word, the Playstation is pretty old. The PS2 alone has been out for over a decade, right? The regular Playstation has to be at least 15 years old.
I've been thinking about getting a PS emulator because the games are too hard to find, and I don't want to worry about moving PS files onto my PS2 memory card so I can have free space to save on my PS memory cards.

Up your game resolution and make sure its not native. It will be harder on your pc but it will make your game look better.

I haven't used the emulator but as with everything the more resolution you have the more work your pc has to do to process each pixel on screen. Its also best to start off with the native resolution of the game which all PS2 games are probably SD (640 x 480) and then if your chugging along use a divider on each number to reduce it.
Good examples of resolutions to pick:
640x480 (native)
320x240 (divided by 2)
160x120 (divided by 4)
128x96 (divided by 5
Also, these games are probably interlaced and are running at the TV standard which is "NTSC: 59.94 fields per second, 525 lines, even lines drawn first" So I'm not sure how that comes into play with processing and such but I'm sure its a crucial factor.
