Before I go on a tangent about how I hate Tim, I'd like to say I loved the first and several other games he' made.
But I've grown to resent and then actively hate Tim, he's been anything but honest lately. I understand him wanting to move away from Kickstarter so he keeps more of the money for his campaign but he is a director for that website and it seems like a conflict of interest for him and the "journalist" outlets attached to this whole "Fig" kickstarter like site, there just seems like there's too much conflict of interest.
There's also the whole aspect of Tim not managing the money for his projects properly. Massive chalice was fully funded and the game released but it felt like it was only half way done, and before you start saying that game development is most costlier than he recieved then you should consider the argument that she should have been honest about his goals and expectations for the amount asked. Broken age suffered the same problem. I played the first half, and although it was good it didn't feel like it had a 3.3 million dollar budget behind it, even with an actor like Elijah Wood supporting (he apparently voiced very cheaply because he's a fan so him being a voice isn't a legit excuse) it didn't feel like that big of a project. Them charging for the 2nd part and desperately trying to get funds to finish the game and then releasing a pretty bad finale was just cherry on the cake.
Ultimately I want to see the sequel to this game but I feel like it's going to be handled poorly like the last few Double Fine games. The first Psychonaut game cost around 12Million, and Schaefer only asking 3.3Mil to spite the joke build around it while also admitting to having external investors and being a member in the board for the site managing the crowd sourcing just screams "I'm a gigantic fraud".
Anyways thoughts? It's obviously going to get funded so what are your hopes? Expectations?

I hope it is as good as the first one.
The first one was crazy fun.
And I liked the asthetics of it.
Each mind you went in was like a representation of the character.
I remember the Milkman. His paranoia was hilarious. Especially the generic spies and cameras everywhere.

Heed the wise words of Robert Kokdik, Activision CEO. Tim "The Sockpuppeteer" Schafer can only be trusted with funds dedicated to researching Currency Combustion.

Haven't been a fan of Schafer lately, either. But I'll definitely give the game a shot, if it releases. Hopefully they can manage to avoid a crowdfunding disaster this time around.
I wouldn't be surprised if Schafer managed to fuck up that process as well.
