So i downloaded the demo for the xbox.
And i have to say the gameplay is REALLY good from what i saw!
Im surprised it looks that great, and playing the demo has made me want to get the game now! xD
Anyone played it?
Worth the $60? Cause i dont wanna get something that looks and plays great and then the campaign be garbage.
Im planning on getting BL2 but this is about RE6! :P

Very different games if you have the cash it's well worth getting both of them
If your an RE fan then I'd say get RE6
If you like FPS with some RPG an or like BL1 then BL2

I have had a love hate relationship with this game.
Ive enjoyed Leons story and I am having an alright time with Chris's story now. gameplay and story is solid, AI is very responsive and is there when I need them. The survivor aspect is there but the horror is not.
NOTE, THIS IS MY OPINION. EVERYONE HAS ONE.
My Pros
My negatives.
This is all I can think of for now, ill update more when I think of more.
Overall, I would give this game a 6.5/10

Yeah i see what you mean, cause my and my friend was playing it and we got pretty far, but as for the health does drop pretty easy, But eh, i dont mind i always like a challenge when it comes to RE games, thats what you are meant to do is survive so short on ammo is a + for me since its more focused on real situations and not some bullshit fairy tale! xD But eh, i do know one thing tho, the new virus are INSANE when they mutate! That one that hatches from the hosts body, fuuuuck that, i have sure a hard time running from it, but the only thing i dont like is the use of not having a fucking flashlight! jesus christ was it dark on there, i might have missed how to use it but i tried all the buttons, but no luck, but one thing i noticed was the new running design, oh it is amazing! <3 No more speed walking! Now its hailing ass! But only thing i disproved of (Other then the flashlight) was the movement controls, i mean they are nice and all but jesus you turn the wrong way and your camera just goes nuts, but after a while you kinda get use to it, but hell i might pick it up when i get paid who knows, looks promising to me.

I just don't like the fact that RE's turned into a shooter instead of survival horror, it's trying too much to be like CoD and GoW.
I might get it when it's like 40 bucks but..now? Nah, I got other games I'm interested in anyway.

*Off topic*
What about DS3?
That looks promising! :3

RE5 was a genuinely good game, It just wasn’t quite Resident Evil. RE6, while fun, just feels broken and is a total departure from early RE games.

Completed Leon's route a couple of days ago, it was great. Nearly done with Chris's. The camera angles in Chris's are fucking horrible, and it's kind of meh. It's still fun to shoot stuff though.

I kind of lost all hope in RE after the 5th one. That was so awful. I'll just think that the series ended at RE4.

RE4 was the pinnacle of survival-horror/action and for the franchise. RE5 and RE6 were just straight, out-and-out shooters. What a waste to throw away their roots.

Just beat Jake's campaign, it was really good. I'd say Leon's was the best, then Jake then Chris. Now that I've completed all of them I can

I'm still reluctant to dish out money because I'm saving up for the Christmas games release for the vita

Looking at it as just a game it's pretty decent, but comparing it to the rest of the series it's definitely not the best one. The story is alright and is made better by the fact that it's split into different parts, all of which come together nicely so the story all makes sense once you've played them all.
Obviously the biggest criticism of this game is lack of horror which is what I dislike about RE6. The only elements of RE horror really are in Leon's campaign, and it's not even ubiquitous, but even when it's there it isn't scary. I was only mildly scared at the beginning and that part was great, but it kind of drifts into a shooter, especially in the other campaigns.
I found the gameplay decent, especially in Jake's campaign, there was a lot of pretty cool things in there. Shooting all the different zombies and creatures was satisfying. But the whole saving and using your ammo wisely thing is pretty much gone. And the camera angles in Chris's campaign are a joke.
In my opinion the one thing that kept this game playable is co-op. It would be boring playing it on my own, same with RE5. That obviously wasn't the case with RE4.
Overall I'd give it a 7/10, it's worth playing. But I'd wait until the game goes down in price first.
Sorry for such a shit review, I'm not good at reviewing.

I see. Thanks, I guess I'll just rent it on our local gameshop. It's kind of sad that developers keep catering to the kids-teens who want mediocre shooting mayhem games (BF3 being the only exception). Gone are the days where devs make story driven games; We only serve as cash cows to them now. D:
