If you've played this game, say what you think about it.
Me, I love it...The no-loading time things is still throwing me off, never played a PS2 game that has not required that.

Overall is good, unique to me the system is nice the battle ones or the exploring ones, the story is good too and the cut scene's as well all but the hairstyle of our main hero that reminds me the shorts of a monster known as the poison spore in Ragnarok Online.

It's been a pretty long time since I've played it, I got it back when it came out, so sorry if I get some names wrong, but from what I remember...
-Jaster didn't have enough good costumes. Just basically one or two good ones at the end...
-I hated basically all of the characters besides Jaster, Kisala, Zegram, and the girl with the bow.
-Massively disappointed that you couldn't upgrade+buildup weapons like in Dark Cloud 1+2. =(
-Combat got shallow late in the game, it basically became spell spamming. Get in a fight, use a spell or two, move right along~
But somehow, despite all my negative comments, I really liked this game! It was addictive, I put a lot of hours into it, and plus there aren't enough Space Pirate Action RPGs out there. ;P

Holy crap, I really liked this game and was addicting and the bosses were really fun and unique. I even mentioned as one of my fav ps2 game if you guys haven't noticed. Nice to see some FAKKERs like it too. I kind of gave up the game for a month when I was at the part with the two towers of the princes, because I did it without planning it out and got all confused. Then got some help and passed it.

Oh, the towers, what a pain in the butt.
I never really stopped playing the game until after I had beaten it, really. Basically, I didn't finish up a lot of the extra stuff like fulfilling the completion that the one pink-haired girl rewards you with outfits for, and going through the ghost ship a second time. x_o
I wish the game didn't have random battles, though... can't developers see they're a thing of the past? ;_;

I looked up a video review, looks pretty fun. I'll look into this when I can find it for $10 or $20.
As for random battles, I prefer them to set enemies walking around. Personally I think rpgs are better off with random battles, although I guess fewer and fewer people agree with me on that these days.

Well, I should probably specify. I think that for an action RPG, random battles don't work very well, but they're alright for a traditional menu-based RPG. They go especially well with RPGs that still retain the oldschool vibe like Dragon Quest and Etrian Odyssey, but I think they don't have much of a place in action RPGs. ;)

It goes either way for me with action rpgs, although I haven't really gotten into too many of them. I normally prefer more traditional rpgs (dragon quest, older final fantasy games, etc). I did really like the dark cloud games though.
