I really hope this isn't true.

I don't think it would be too bad if this happened, i think google would keep it as something separate from its other service, but with a bit of google integration.
Could anything go wrong? Probably a lot, but if this is true, i don't think we have to worry too much.

I just hope they don't fuck with the layout of twitch if they buy it.

After the rise of Youtubers centered on gameplay I think it's the logical step to take. Let's see how this evolves.

More copyright stikes on music played and an overall greater emphasis on copyright materiel in streams and possible Google+ integration are the most likely negative effects.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Eh, this doesn't suprise me and what happens will happens. As long as they don't f*ck things up too much, I'm good.

After I buy my new rig, I plan on using Twitch to live stream some of my fighting game matches with club members. If this rumor is true, then it'll probably suck. It shouldn't deter my decision though.

I watched the video and a few things

1- TB claims that if Goggle buys twitch that "legitimizes" Twitch. Twitch is already the biggest streaming site on the internet their already legit.

2- And this just made me laugh. He was saying that if Goggle bought Twitch that they would "have our back" and look out for us. Oh really TB just like how Goggle/Youtube had your backs when they rolled out their content ID system? TB was protected because his partner MCN backed him up but dropped guys like Angry Joe. And Joe got a huge amount of claims on his videos after that, which most where bogus claims. He had to spent over a month fighting those claims himself. So yeah TB i highly doubt they would have our back *rolls eyes*.

3- At the beginning was saying how he didn't care if they people started getting claims on their streams if they had copyrighted music in the background. And how he doesn't do that because he gets permission for the music he uses. You know why they give him permission? Because he one of the biggest gaming channels on Youtube!

I hate TotalBiscuit, he just a pretentious douche.

do you really think Twitch is worth 1 Billion, i get that its popular but my god dat a whole lot of money
