If we're talking about weapons....

I'll always use an SMG, Handgun, and Plasma Sword for TD. Other game modes, I'll switch the handgun for something else... Usually a revolver or sentry. Sometimes, I'll use a bat instead of Plasma sword for DM. Sometimes though... Not very often.

Meh... Chaser mode swords only, I'm using a CS. That's it really. Lol.

Even in other modes though, SMG, HG, PS combo for 95% TD, 70% everything else. Lol.

I just played this for a couple of hours. It's a lot of fun, though I still had the usual online FPS problem of feeling pretty overwhelmed all the time and not really knowing who was killing me. Also, it's probably just me, but I kept getting people down to like a couple of pixels of health bar but then they just wouldn't fucking die.

I also found every weapon apart from the double machineguns to be useless - again, I'm sure it's just me but the railgun is more like a rocket launcher with no explosion, it's so slow to hit the target. It also seems to do fuck all damage. I'd strip people's health down in seconds with the double machineguns from right across the level but then even if I did hit them with the railgun or rocket launcher, it'd do shitty damage. I know you can charge it, but (a) it doesn't seem to add much more damage and (b) you'll get screwed over by any other enemy that can see you.

I mainly did deathmatch. I tried the touchdown thing but I had no idea what was going on. I checked on the site for the rules, as well as what all the various icons mean in the lobby, but it didn't seem to say anywhere. Finally, a genuine complaint rather than me just being shit at the game, the lag seemed quite bad. I have a 20 megabit connection so I don't think it was a problem at my end - people would just be stuck in mid-jump and would never die no matter how much you shot them. Lag-based glitches seemed to be a constant thing, though they were usually minor, like someone seeming to teleport a few metres ahead.

Still, as I said, it was fun overall. It has a great atmosphere to it and feels fresh compared to most other FPS-type games (or TPS or whatever).

Concerning some problems for you Teclo...

The thing about the damage you're doing and the lag problem are tied together. You look like you're doing damage, but you're not if the other party or even you are lagging. If that's not the case, you have to make sure they're dead. I like to run around with just 2 HP sometimes... Haha. Not really, but yeah....

Concerning weapons, each one has a different function and stuff. The railgun isn't slow. It's a sniper and pretty much instant. You have to aim for the person. You can't lead them like a normal sniper. Also, headshots are instant kill at half charge or so. Full charge will usually kill a 100HP target at full charge. The knockback is great too at full charge. No charge is actually significantly weaker. Anyway, I don't use the railgun. I can't snipe.

Each weapon has its own good thing about them. You just have to learn to use what you like. The SMG has a high rate of fire, good for medium range. The rifle has a slower rate of fire but much more accurate. The Gauss is a burst type weapon with great accuracy and damage capabilities. The revolver is basically a shotgun. Handgun packs a punch and it also increases your speed. Smash Rifle is like an inaccurate semirifle with melee capabilities. Meh. Learn the weapons after use. I could go into swords, but I won't. Lol.

As for the rules of touchdown, it's similar to assault in Halo. Take the ball in the middle to the other team's base. That's the simplest really.

As for the lag stuff... They did a lot to fix that with Patch 10. However, there are still some cases of people lagging. However, even if they do lag, you can still kill them. They'll just... bounce around a lot... Lol... Annoying...

Regarding the Lag...Its P2P, If the dude lag to you, you also lag to him...They actually fixed the lag...you dont see much players with the red sign above them not like last time its like 6v6, 3 on the other team lag like hell...well thats what i think XD...

About the rail gun...I can tell alot, I use one, Full Charge Rail can cause at least 120-150hp dmg...doesnt matter if he/she has HP+30 1 hit can kill Headshot or Not, Half Charge does like 60-80dmg, Headshot 1 hit kill, but the single shot not charge does like 30-45 something, 3 hits with single kills, and theres a delay like 1.3secs before it hits, that walking, running is different, and running with Handgun is also different...full charge rail take like 4-5 secs

NAS4 will be out, I dunno when though seems like the summer beta testing will be cancelled..-.-'...so good news to North American S4 Players, No lag, BUT, maybe alot of hacks XD...

Thanks for all the advice, you two. Yeah, with the railgun I think I'm just used to the Quake one. That's pretty much instant and I could get headshots quite regularly and even multikills. With this railgun I feel like I'm just sending out a beam saying "Here I am! Come and kill me!"


Where's the current server then? If it's in Europe, I wouldn't get your hopes up for the NA servers because I'm in Europe and the lag was ever-present.

stay calm with the rail , although detail on it will be long , but in S4 i can tell you need time to get accustom to it once u do then u can figure wat arsenal fit wat type of room modes for you , or other than my strategy way u can go the skill way like Shia or Kei where u use rather skillz from yourself the gamer where u can pretty much use the same arsenal for any room modes

for me i am a strategist so go figure =w= but it doesnt take long till i get wat arsenal i am supposed to use in wat room modes

Question: Shia are you from NA server ? D=

For being a pro(imo), take Rail Gun, Storm Bat and Revolver. if you can aim, you're a god with this stuff.
