cant wait hnnngggg male whore on the way XDJust making a character on the Initiation Station demo was funny as hell. The sole fact that I can have my character do the Ace Ventura pelvic thrust or the Wild Stallions (Bill & Ted) air guitar amused me to no end.

This game is everything I hoped it would be. Forget about that GTA5 trailer that Rockstar put out, they can't come close to what Saints Row has become. This game is the epitome of batshit insanity. This is so much so, that I refuse to believe that the game's horde mode (titled "Whored Mode") was made by anyone that could've been sober or in a clear state of mind during the time of development. I literally just beat a mob of gimps with a giant purple dildo sword and my brain's still having trouble processing a few of the later levels.
There are a few changes to Saints Row 3 that I feel should be addressed. For one, the graphics have been improved. They won't make your eyes bleed in it's glory like Rage or Battlefield 3, but it's appreciated. Second, leveling up your character and upgrading your guns is done by spending your own money. This is good for those who didn't like going out of their way to finish all levels of side-missions just to unlock a faster health regeneration upgrade or a new gun. Instead, as soon as you gain a new level in your respect meter, you unlock a purchaseable upgrade for your character that you spend your money on. Similarly, upgrading your weapons is as simple as buying them at the nearest Friendly Fire gun shop. I also noticed that the combat's a little smoother and there are now icons floating above the heads of enemies (and allies) that displays their remaining health.
If anything, there are only two problems that have actually bothered me with this game. First, I don't care for the way you buy and equip clothes. In previous Saints Row games, you could pick out your outfit by each layer of clothing and even choose how you wanted to wear each piece of your ensemble. Now, however, you can only choose from a variety of pre-assembled clothes that are worn in only the way you bought it. It kinda takes a step back from the level of customization that a lot of people know the title for, but this is a minor grievance at best. Secondly, I had some trouble in firefights due to the rather clumsy reload system. If the reload animation is interrupted at any point in the process, it fails to reload the gun and you have to do it again. This is especially frustrating with the shotguns as they have the longest reload times and you can't seem to load each shell individually. I should also point out that the easiest way to cut off a reload is to start sprinting. Hopefully the latter would be fixed with a patch at some point in the future. Until then, I'll just try to work around that problem.

I love this game so far, but I've already beaten it. And I don't just mean the main story, but a good portion of the diversions and gang wars. I've only put about 14 hours into it.
I wasn't looking for a Skyrim length game, but I've put about 140 hours into SR2 and I still have stuff left.

Yeah, i'm at 6 hours, loving it heaps... only up to the part with oleg when you escape the crazy army dudes, with the devinter chick :D
Essentially, AWESOME GAME IS AWESOME.
First mission, dive out of a plane, grab chick, realise plane is flying towards you, throw chick out of way, shoot through front window of plane, fly through middle of plane, grab dude, rip his parachute off, fall down, grab chick, land.
Know what else is fun?
Guy you're trying to kill escapes to basement of place your in, you see giant ball, grab onto it, whilst party gets it to fall down.
Ball drops about 20 stories, you land of guy you're trying to kill. MAXIMUM VELOCITY MAY HAVE BEEN OBTAINED, FUCK PHYSICS.

Just noticed that I'm missing quite a few story related achievements, despite the fact that I already finished the story. I don't have the achievement for the Stag Party mission or any of the others beyond that. I've no idea why. I never used cheat codes at all, so I don't see why I wouldn't have the achievements.

I still need to do all the side tasks. Then I'd like to play through the story again for the laughs, maybe with the zombie voice.

I am loving the hell out of it, also. I just like that between Saints Row 2 and 3, apparently the world became some kind of cartoon/comic book world. The art style is really much more suited this time around to that sort of cartoon aesthetic and feel; the colours are brighter with more contrast, the character models are less photo-realistic... I love it.
Also, this game really does make its own fun, doesn't it? Just walking down the street, you're liable to get hit by a speeding car, things explode randomly in the distance... either the AI spazzes out on me in a constantly entertaining manner, or this game is completely fucking bonkers.

lol this game is funny, i enjoyed the story and how you had to rebuild back up but i hated the tough choices you have to make! i mean i already have to do that in other games :[

I think the main story is too short. But I guess it will take up most of your time if you will play the side quests but I find them a little repetetive. But yep the game is fun, it's certainly entertaining to jump off a helicopter or a Vtol and then dive head first on an unsuspecting pedestrian.

I gotta say, some of the screenshots I've taken so far have been absolute gold. This game is so great at creating... moments. Here's a couple I've taken with my all-to-familiar avatar ;D
...pretty huge images, 1680x1050, you might need to copy image url to see the whole of 'em

I love the game, but I was disappointed that it was short, I did not like the cartoon like graphics, and why did they have to kill Gat. I hope they learn from their mistakes from this game and make the next game better than GTA.
