Scariest Video Game Ever Played?

So what's the scariest you've ever played?
Mine would have to be Fatal Frame 2. Taking up close pictures of ghosts and demons scared the fuck out of me.

I've never honestly been creeped out or scared of a video game. According to my 4 year old nephew it's L4D2. By accident he watched me play some months ago... I never had a clue he was standing behind me and watching until he screamed right in my ear. He still likes to pretend to be a boomer and hunter.

Possibly Silent Hill 3, or maybe Resident Evil 1 way back in the day. They were pretty cool but zombie games never worked for me. The first one I played got me scared a little but after that they all seemed the same to me, that is just shooting the shit out of zombies.

I don't really get scared by ghosts and such. DOOM 3 however, had me afraid just to walk down that darkened hallway of terror as I just know a bloodthirsty demon is just gonna pop out from the rafters and try to take a bite at my face.

heart beat faster? yes, out of excitement mostly though. By the time the scary games were coming out and having that huge impact I was a bit too old to really be affected by them after years of scary movies.

Doom 3, they did a good job at making shit pop out of nowhere like a series of screamers. The approach they took at scaring you got kind of old, but it was still relatively unexpected. Also, the commandos, hell knights, and cherubs made me feel uneasy. It also still managed to retain a sense of being badass.

Surprised no one mentioned Amnesia TDD yet, that shit was scary as hell.
My friends and I played one night where we plugged it into a friend's 60inch plasma with surround sound.

Haven't played Amnesia, but I've seen other people play it. Creepy graphics and sounds.
FATAL FRAME!
XD
When I was playing it, all I said was "OHMYGAWD, HOLY SHIZZ, GHOOOST!" >_<"
And then, the awkward moment when you have no film left, so you go to pick up more film and a stinkin' ghost pops up. =3=
I never did beat the game. XP

Spoiler:
Was the most cleverly done horror type game I remember playing. Actual scary games? Hrm, well F.E.A.R wastes my ammo a lot with seeing shadows move and people looking in on you. Can't do that to someone who plays a lot of shooter games, I always take that shot and I was always aware that what I was shooting at wasn't there.
Side note: Doom 3 was fucking annoying. I hate loud sudden noises and I hate things popping out at me. Glad they didn't that as much in Quake 4.
