Looks like Duke Nukem as some competition. The serious Sam games are crazy i had one for the gamecube. The game is awesome but they threw so many monsters at me at once it was just plain hard to beat Especially all of the goals they had set for each level. Now i'm stuck between duke and sam,who to choose?

The First and Second Encounter were just great, mindless killing with monsters coming at ya left and right. It's like that's what makes a game a game, mindless and repetitiveness done right.
Now I haven't played Serious Sam 2 because I hear and have seen it wasn't as "serious" as it was the First and Second Encounter. Sure they were both cartoony (except the HD versions of TFE & TSE, those were a little more "serious") but the 2005 sequel just doesn't look very appealing as chaotic and unveiling as they are with their new gadgets and enemies.
Looking at this trailer here, reading some reviews, and watching some interviews, it seems they went back to what made the VERY first two games what they really were, and then some more.
Point: Action, action, action. Fuck covers. Keep 'em coming. Shoot and run backwards more. AAAAAAAAAAAAAA from everywhere you turn. That's what they say Serious Sam 3 is bringing in.

[size=10] I am aware that this is a Serious Sam HD image.[/h]
Also, Duke is its own game. I'll buy that not as an FPS game, but as a Duke Nukem game; silly humor and whatnot.

LOLD HARD, that is like the best tagline ever. But seriously, I love this series so so much, there are hardly any good fun shooters like this. And by the looks of things they're really mixing things up this time, while keeping the feel of the previous games.
