Should I get the ps4 now or later?

I've heard lots of problems with it. But it was only said to be 4 percent out of 1 milli sold in U.S. Also Persona 5 news will be announcing in Nov. 24! Can't wait for that.

i would suggest you wait until we hit 2014 before grabbing any new consoles unless there's a game out now that you really really want. by the time 2014 comes around they would have found and fixed all the problems they had or will have at launch. i plan to wait it out for a while until a few more games come out for it.
NOW if persona 5 did release on the new consoles that would be enough for me to go buy a ps4 without a second thought

I'd say wait. As of right now 95% of the games that are out at launch, you can get for the PS3/360/WiiU. Hell, even stuff like Guilty Gear Xrd and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will be on those systems too.
A couple of F2P games that'll more than likely die out in a month and Killzone's not enough for me.

In my opinion, There isn't anything I want that badly on the new consoles. Especially since the release titles are kinda skimpy because of Ubisoft pushing back Watchdogs etc. It would probably be smarter to wait it out for a little while.

Just wait until next year. I don't like non of the games out for it right now. I'll buy it for sure if there is bundle with metal gear solid 5.

I'd say later. Like the PS2 and the PS3, there's not much at launch but there should be better games a little later.

Yeah I was think the same... But all the retail ps4's are sold out in my area. Just worried about this Christmas where things are back in stock and sold out quickly. Then I'll have to wait even longer.
And yah persona 5 is being announced nov 15! Can't wait!

Doesn't really demand PS4, unless you want higher p and the pay for online lol (assuming your jumping from PS3 reader).

I heard, I forget from what source, Rev3Game's Adam or maybe TheEscapist's Zim, that they are sold out back to next march or so (gamestop wise). Amazon seems to still have models. Whatever the case, unless the game you really want comes out within the next 5 months, I think it shouldn't cause a problem to wait a bit. I'm waiting till winter of next year, unless otherwise.
Persona 5 being a PS4 exclusive would be an "otherwise", but I am doubtful of that. I'd expect them to prioritize the release on Vita or 3DS. If PS4 exclusive, I want to believe it'd be both for old and new gen's. Lastly, with atlus, don't they delay shipping over sea's for translating after gauging success in Japan? I would expect a 6 month waiting period after the Japanese release.

Buy it for that 5-10 games you think you can't miss out on.Edited to show my opinion. These days, I cannot justify getting any sort of system unless you need more than one hand AT LEAST to count the number of games you want for it. Coupled with the myriad of problems the PS4 has been facing, and I say you'd be fine to wait even until 2015 (remember, the Persona announcement may not even be fore P5, and even if it is, development time would see it pushed to late 2014, if not early 2015).
Just my estimate, though.

I said one game because that's how I bought the PS3, then you will end up wanting to try many others.
But yeah, BUY IT FOR ALL THE TASTY EXCLUSIVE (sometimes shitty) J-RPGS.

If i bought shit i would wait until i needed it. I got one for free since my brother still lives in my house. Nice having a lazy gamestop manager. TT__TT he graduates this spring and has a POST date and/or jobs line up after that day.
I do have a xbone preorder.... three x mas gifts.

Everyone is talking about more games later, when people only buy the consoles to play one game on multiplayer for countless hours.

If the PS4 had backwards compability I would have said "buy it fast "like it was in the case of PS3 but now I would say just wait until a game arrives that is worth buying for

3-5 months into the system life should iron out the most pressing issues, but you never know... I'm rolling the dice here. Personally, I'm waiting for the Watch Dogs bundle and getting that.
Just like others have said, it's smart to wait out a more stable system with a larger game library, but if you feel like you want the honor/satisfaction of owning a first-gen PS4, then by all means go for it! You have a warranty and you can wait out the game releases, so it's not that big of a deal.
I just want the bundle, though...

If you do buy it, from what I hear it would be best to get it through Amazon. I hear they're not putting up nearly as much trouble in accepting blue light specials as Sony CS is.

I recommend you wait, which is what I'm doing as well. If you wait, the price will eventually drop, you will have more games available, the minor quirks will be fixed and you will have a better knowledge of the console thus making an informed decision. These new consoles aren't like iPhones; if you wait a few months, there will not be a PS5 out already. The only reason I can think for you to get it now is if you are pretty comfortable in the money department. In that case, do whatever you want.

From what I've seen of it, you should wait. If you could play PS3 games on it then it would be a buy now because of what happened with the PS3 with PS2 games. There are not many good games out for it to justify the price. If anything, wait until the first price drop which typically happens around their first AAA release so you can save money and the launch issues won't have an effect on you.
