My reaction to this game after hearing that Alpha Protocol was a piece of shit and losing hope: "OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG..."
Here's how the game is presented:
I have renewed hope.

i have not lost hope on Alpha protocol yet. a lot of the criticism im hearing would be said about the original MAss Efefct had it been released this year, yet that was and still is an amazing game. so im gonna give AP the bennefit of the doubt and rent it anyways regardless of what reviewers say.
ANYWAY BACK ON TOPIC
i played Singularity at San Diego Comic Con last year and it was okay. needed polish and it had some confusing game mechanics which the stupid public rep standing next to me was horrible at explaining, after needing to be asked repeatedly before he even tried. dumbass. but that was a year ago so im sure its gotten the polish it needed by now.

bought it today and completed the single player just now.
planning on a second playtrough on Hard difficulty.
to me it's more like your average shooter really.
I was hoping in more time jumping really. you jump from 1955 to 2010 a few times but most of the time you're just changing the objects they're age.

I did the game in about 8 hours, others have completed it around 6 hours.
Well you can collect Bio-Plans to upgrade your character(more health, more endurance, etc) that counts as an achievement but otherwise no collictibles. I've only found 8 of the 10.
It's kind of annoying that when reaching a split in the road I always wanted to scavange everything. but a few times I took the wrong part and I ended up not being able to return. the moment you leave a door it autosaves immidiatly and the door slams shut behind you.
nothing carries over. New game is a new game.

It's still great fun though.
Even has several ending depending on what you do. I actually might have missed one, because it didn't occur to me to try another approach.
Plus it gets ridiculously easy once you've upgraded your Deadlock ability :D.

3 endings. and it only involves who you kill at the very end of the game.

Yeah. Still sort of fun.
Though I thought maybe I could (after killing one, then going back in time) kill the one that I had been trying to for the rest of the game and get yet another ending.

Love it. So gory and fun. Fucking worth it.
The time travel makes no sense, but mindfucks don't ruin killing sprees.

I was disappointed with this game. Hard mode was anything but hard and there were a lot of graphical faults (some textures don't load correctly leaving them with extremely low resolutions). There were also quite a large amount of physics bugs, most of these occurring just after the time sphere dissipates.
Aging objects old and new was an interesting concept and nice to look at; but there was such a limited amount of items you could use it on. There were also a limited amount of weapons, varying from an incredibly useless assault rifle to an over-powerful sniper rifle. At one point during the game I couldn't even use one of my weapons to defeat the boss as it didn't cause any damage.
Most of the "puzzles" in this game were solved with fucking boxes and took less than a second to see through. Even though it had a horror feel, nothing was really scary. They should have just kept it straight-forward action without the lame ass puzzles.
The plot was interesting, the lore was interesting. Many little goodies and easter eggs. Playing with time was cool, they should have given you more abilities though.

I just bought this game and I think I'm at least a quarter of the way through it. I'm disappointed at the fact that there are only selected items I can age because I was expecting it would be an interactive world where I can age or reduce everything. Also it's a bit too linear for my taste, if only it had a fable interface so I can age the poor people in towns or cities.
