So I want to make a visual novel/ eroge

Hey guys, I've posted about this before, but didn't get what I was looking for. I want to create a visual novel/ eroge, but I need help. A friend & myself will be writing the script & story boarding. Now, what we really need is a few things:
1) Any advice on /how/ to go about setting up the program for a VN
2) We definitely need artists, we may not receive any money for this project, so as of now no one will be getting paid.. We understand this is less appealing, but we wanted to make a really good VN that was potentially free
3) Artists/ illustrators WILL have a say in things, they can make suggestions & such because we respect them a lot
4) Anyone else who wants to contribute anything at all (music, help in writing, "beta testing", etc...)
Please don't criticize this post, we just want to look for anyone willing to contribute! We have a few ideas, so we can make them all separately, maybe even throw them all in one! ;) Thanks in advance for all of the help, if interested leave a comment, message me, email me, etc..

Step 1. Learn Python or find someone who knows Python (this shouldn't be hard, Python is wicked easy to learn/use)

Step 2. Use this engine: http://www.renpy.org/

Step 3. Now you just need artists and writers who don't suck cock.

Oh, and if you don't mind me asking, what is the plot/setting/synopsis for this game?

Lol, already have/ am using Renpy :) & of course, I will add a summary to the original post as soon as I meet with my partner to confirm everything! I also have some side VN/E I am working on, so I have to balance my time xD Thanks for the tips though!

Thank you for posting! I'm writing up the summary as we speak, but my partner (sot of the head of productions) wanted to do a very unique VN/E, he was thinking some human girls, mixed with some monster girls. That way everyone had a likeable character in it. Of course, they all are very different, & he doesn't want to just make a sex novel, it will have plenty of story. My side project(which at least deserves an honorable mention) is based on High School of the Dead. This is one I picked up while reading forums about how people would like to see one.
On topic: a full outline of the basic plot should be posted by the end of the week!

Hello everyone and sorry for the ling hiatus-- my partner had some things come up and we were forced to put the project on hold for some time. We are back and want to rebuild the project from the ground up! We are willing to talk to anyone with a skill that they feel is of use-- everyone has something that they can contribute if they so wish! My partner wants to also mention that we have two different VNs in production right now-- his own personal story, and a Highschool of the Dead VN, we went ahead and took on the idea of a HoTD VN because it is highly requested among fans of the series! Hello! As explained in my last post, we were forced into a long-term hiatus, but the project is being rebuilt from the ground up if you're still interested? We will try to have two different teams (So that one team isn't forced to make two VNs lol), one for HoTD and one for the Creator's idea, which was the one involving a mix of Monster girl and human girl and etc...

I'm down to help with writing and EXTREMELY down to beta test and tell you how "effective" it is.

what's the general setup/setting?

Both writing and BETA testing are spots that can be filled-- take your pick! :) But regarding the VN-- which VN are you interested in? We have a lot of spots to fill on both the Monster Girl/ Normal Girl apartment complex idea and the Highschool of the Dead VN. The "Original" project created by the HEAD creator, who I will get to write the summary, will contain both Monster Girls and Normal Girls and will be centered around a young man (Early twenties) who finally moves out into the world, but is poor and has to move to an... odd... part of a town he recently found. In these apartments and in various places throughout the novel, he meets the girls involved. My summary of his story is very lacking in information, lol, but he will give the real summary soon

Since you can use renpy, you must know about the lemmasoft website, you can find various creative commons there, like sprites,music and other neat stuff. Check it out if you haven't already, it would be easier on you to use some of the sprites there for supporting or main roles to improve the quality of your VNs.
