Sonic Adventure.

So I busted out my dreamcast to play Sonic Adventure again, feeling nostalgic. It was basically the first sonic game I played, aside from playing alittle sonic games in some stores that allowed you when I was a tyke. I love this game, because I found it to be awesome.

The only good 3D Sonic game. Pretty sad how the series turned to complete crap right after this game.

I love this game to no end. I remember repeatidly going round my friends house to play this awesome game (he was the only one who had a Dreamcast) AND THEN IT CAME OUT FOR THE PC! Oh, happy days.

You're forgetting Sonic Adventure 2. Speaking of which, since I don't have my Dreamcast anymore, I should buy used copies of SA1 and SA2 for the GC. Or maybe I should just buy another Dreamcast so I can play Virtual-On again.

I liked that one too, since they introduced grinding and shadow.

I didn't like Sonic Adventure 2 that much thanks to the non-Sonic stages. Knuckle's stages were boring, Hell, sometimes they felt like a chore. Tails was a bit better but they sucked too when you compare them to Sonic's stages.

The new one coming out is going back to the root. Who knows it might be as good has that one :)

So Big and Amy are all right? In SA1, there was still Knuckles, and Gamma is very much like SA2 Tails and Eggman. And Tails' SA1 stages, while in the vein of Sonic, were mostly repeat stages. My major complaints in SA2 are that digging for Emerald shards was damn tedious and that there weren't enough Shadow stages.

Can never go wrong with Sonic The Hedgehog!

Yeah, I liked SA alot too. But not as much as SA2 though. To me, Sonic's stages and controls seem a little better in the sequel. As for everyone else... I'm just glad Big wasn't in SA2. :D However, to be honest I never got a super mega sensation of speed in either of them. Let's face it 3D Sonic can't really compare to 2D Sonic, can it?

I remember laughing at the part where sonic transforms into super sonic and the people start cheering him on. Even though they were supposed to be dead. Silly dead people.

I've always loved both games of the series: SA1 had the best gameplay, while SA2 had the best story. Perfect mix.

Too bad they didn't manage to continue the goodness with Sonic Heroes.

So what makes the 'gameplay' of SA1 better than SA2?

The bigger concentration on what made the game so great: Sonic's stages and over all the bosses. It all kept much closer to the formula that was used in the 2D games.

Sonic Adventure 2 mixed everything up a bit too much, and didn't emphasize Sonic's stages like SA1 did. Overall the gameplay design was also better in the first one.

Ahhh, good times, good times. I remember playing this game over, and over, and over again. It's nice to remember the classics. ^_^

Great news for SA fans. Just saw Sonic Adventure on PS store full game download, i guess they ARE going to bring some oldschool Dreamcast titles to PSN/XBL which is beyond awesome. I just hope they will bring SA2 too.

Didn't we already know that since we got Virtual-On: Oratorio Tangram on XBL? Also, it's actually the PC version of SA and not the DC version.

As far as i remember the PC version was Sonic Adventure DX. And i only seen original SA on EU PSN,while US PSN have SA and the actual DX expansion being sold separately.
