What did your first creation rank as when you played the game? (carnivore, predator, etc.) My first creature was an omnivore in the cell stage, adaptable in the animal stage, industrious in the tribal stage, and economic in the civilization stage.

I've erased all memories of that awful game. It's one of those that gets progressively worse, too, so you start off thinking it's good and retain that hope for far too long. Will Wright, I expected so much better. :(

Will Wright, I expected so much better. :(I have to agree. I could handle it up until the space stage and then everything just got so stupid hard. The A.I. "allies" expect you, YOU, to defend THEIR colonies EVERY. FUCKING. TIME. they get attacked. Don't even get me started on the main enemy, the Grox. They're one of the biggest examples of "The Computer Is A Cheating Bastard" that I can think of.
