SRW: OG

Well super robot wars made it to the Gameboy advanced a while ago. It's just like all the other ones with Fire emblem type play except you can upgrade your mechs, cast "spirits" depending on your pilot(s) and unlock some secrets (which require extreme...requirements). Anyway just wanted to see if you guys enjoyed it as much as i do. And now for your enjoyment some Shoop da Whoops! (and yes these pics do have a English version just posted up the jap version)





And because of legal/copywrite issues it will most likely be the only series of the SRW generation to be internationally released due to the others having mechs from other series like the Freedom gundam from seed.

I always wanted to play the PS2 SRW games, stupid licensing laws, now I guess I'll never get Eva unit 01 go up against the Rahxephon.
(unless I learn japanese and get a copy on import)

I think it is not SRW OG 3 but rather Super Robot Wars Alpha.

BTW, well this game is good. Still finishing SRW OG 2 though.

There has already been an official announcement stating Kyosuke will be the main protagonist for OG3 and all other original generation titles in the future.

what about the PS2 version of OG ?...who'd you think will come up there...since the first 2 OG on PS2 featuring Raul and Fiona from SRW R..is it possible that people from SRW D come up there?

The PS2 versions are just remakes of OG1 and 2. Kyosuke is the protagonist for the majority of Generations and for all of Gaiden. Many characters were just thrown in to expand the story, but the main plot follows Kyosuke.

hmm..never think about that before...and from what I thought is remake of all the old series of the originals..such as Compact 3 (Ialdalbaouth and friends), SRW R(Excellence frames), and the originals from OG1 and OG2 + from SRW MX...

It's true that there are in the game but they are essentially just side stories. There are only a few missions that focus on them. The plot is OG and in Gaiden the plot revolves around Shu Shirakawa's plans and further character development(mostly of Kyosuke)

oh yeah...there is a forgoten plot on Masaki's series..the very first SRW...there is one caracter that said to control time and said to be the dark side of Masaki...

Shurouya was an original unit initially intended to appear in SRW2 (SNES) with Cybuster and Granzon. It supposedly had the ability to cross time/dimensions and to be the only mech able to stop its opponents Cybuster and Granzon from fighting one against each other. In the end, as the plot was deemed too complicated, it didn't appear anymore.
Shurouga in SRWZ appears to be partially(from what we know so far) based on that concept. (dimension cross, unit similar to Cybuster, links to LoE, etc.)

MAYBE...the next OG will have Asakim Dowin in it...
