Anyone playing on the EU servers?

Oh yeah they don't give you the option of playing on other peoples realms :\.... hopefully that gets fixed since Fakku is all spread around.

Yea SC2 is fucked up. Damn Activision for experimentiing on a proven platform. The guy in charge used to work with XBOX live and tried to make SC2 behave in the same way which resulted in no LAN play, can't play on other realms unless you buy that realm's version, and no chat channels... =( I like the beta and all but unless those 3 are fixed I'm not going to buy the retail. LAN parties and tournaments are so hard to set up now because of this. For tournaments instead of being like "Be in this chat channel at this time and we'll match you up with your partner" you now have to get everybodies' email address and message all of them and have opponents trade email info and in-game IDs so you can match up. You could probably use IRC as well but some people don't have it or wouldn't understand how to set it up. There was also a few other things that were mentioned in the gripe thread on teamliquid but they pale in comparison to those mentioned. Its just plain stupid what they are doing and its so easy to implement these corrections that it isn't funny. We all hoped b.net 2.0 would be an improved b.net 1.0 but this is like reverting back to the stone age.

They plan on fixing the cross-realm thing at a later date and they've already announced that there will be semi-chat channels, they just won't be the spamfests that they were before, they'll be added through a patch later on. I'd like to get you the blue posts but i seriously would have to dig through the forums to find them.

Me and a bunch of friends have all cancelled our SC2 pre-order and are not considering to get the game until they fix AT LEAST those three big evils that are region lock, lack of chat channels (Both apparently getting handled but I'm curious about the results.) and lack of LAN.

The place I wort at (not a video games store btw) just yesterday got 48 copies of the game, and I kept asking my boss to let me buy a copy, he just kept laughing and saying no.
Also, no its not possible for me to steal a copy.

Now, I'm not a fan of StarCraft, but this looks just awesome, pure and simple.

This might be worth getting, even if the (predicted) prices for it in local shops seem rather high.

But if it's even half-as good as it looks like, it's bearable.

You can buy the game now. But the game has this special program making you unable to instal it right now. According to hackers & crackers it's actually some pretty hard stuff, unlike what most games have.

they'll find a way around it anyhow.

gah I can't wait. I installed Starcraft and Brood War again. as expected I still can't complete the last mission of the Terran campaign :p

This game is going to be unreal, My pc hopefully should be able to handle its awesome graphics and gameplay.
