Also, I've never played Symphonia but is it true that the localized version didn't have voiced skits?
If I recall correctly, the first Tales game to have voiced skits was Vesperia. From then on, all of them had it. Symphonia (and the following one, Abyss) didn't have that feature, only text skits. Now, I haven't played the Dawn of the New World so I don't know if that one has voiced skits.
Actually, Tales of Legendia was the first to have voice skits.
Also, yes, "Dawn of The New World" has voiced skits in it as well.
I see, I didn't managed to play Legendia as well. Could never find it. Nice to know.

We just dont know if there will be a CE or LE of the game. But seeing how Xillia fucking sold out on CE, there might be a chance we get something similar...

>dual audio
Fucking took them long enough. DOES THIS MEAN THE GAME WILL ACTUALLY HAVE VOICED SKITS LIKE IT ORIGINALLY HAD?

Thank god, if that is the case then I will buy the game even though I already have it. When I played both Dawn of the New World and Tales of Graces f I LOVED the voice skits because they made it so much more funny. I remember a few of Dawn of the New World I was laughing my ass off because of how the characters were interacting with each other (more so with Colette because she is such a space case sometimes) and having them voiced made the game so much better.

I really loved ToS; it, along with Tales of the Abyss are absolute perfection in my eyes. I didn't really like the second one quite as much though, but that's just my opinion.
Any idea on if it has all the extra stuff like the PS2 release or is it more like the original Gamecube one?

It's the remake of the PS2 version. So, yes, it will have all the extra features and skits plus they're adding new artes for everybody.

Now I'm not bad-mouthing ToXII, but I have heard(so I'm going strictly on reviews) that ToXII feels like a copy&paste of the first game(Map/details wise), and there's a few incredibly tedious and somewhat pointless objectives in the game.
IE Being in Debt to the mob for some gross amount of money which you are forced to pay off in segments.
But seriously though. This of course is not enough for me as well. If they decide by some random whim to release dual audio for ToX I will make an immediate withdrawal to purchase 4 copies. I won't lie when I say I've never asked for Dual Audio for a game. Not once, but when it comes to ToX and I see Ufotable doing the animations I'm down on both knees.
Also, .hack/infection/mutation/outbreak/quarantine. HD Remake with the Dual Audios again. Pretty fucking please. These games are still $20+ at gamestop. Fucking outbreak is still 40-50 dollars.

So I've been recommended to get into the Tales series. Would this be a good starting place for me?

So I've been recommended to get into the Tales series. Would this be a good starting place for me?Symphonia was actually the first I've played; a bunch of friends of mine made it a project to play them together. Most of the Tales game aren't contiguous so you don't have to play them in order or anything. Tales of Symphonia is also really fun and easy to get into so starting there isn't so bad, in my opinion. If you have three friends (unless they're terrible to play multi-player with, of course) then the game can be even more fun.

3DS = Tales of the Abyss 3D
PS3 = Tales of Vesperia (You'll have to import it)/Tales of Graces F/Tales of Xillia.
Gamecube = Tales of Symphonia (Though you might as well go with the HD Chronicles for PS3)

Bought it digitally and currently downloading it. Sold Xillia a while back so I'm having a Tales Of withdrawal of some sort. Also, need something else to complement Dark Souls 2.
