Well, it's clearly not targeted at me, so not a single care. It's just like any Sony slim console, Good savings for the ones who doesn't have one, nothing is loss for those who already bought one. Meh, I'll probably buy a Japanese region one. :P
But as usual people complain about the things that aren't made for them. lol

It's cool for the cheap price, but I like the foldable design too much. Little weird that it doesn't extend the battery life at all, even by a little.

Well, when I first saw the "2DS" headline I got excited. I would gladly buy I regular 3DS without the 3D function. I'm blind in my right eye so the optical illusion doesn't work for me anyways.
Then I actually clicked on a link and found out what it was. Yeah, it really is a terrible looking design. I realize that it's for younger kids though so I'm not really angry. I guess I'll stick with buying a 3DS XL eventually.

Not being able to fold it and fit it in my pocket is a dealbreaker for me.
I always hated the design of tablets anyways. I'm fine with the 200 I paid for my 3DS as long as it fits in my pocket so I don't have to worry about leaving it somewhere.
Also while the 3D function is a bit of a gimmick, it's still pretty cool.

I'd buy a 3DS before I bought that thing. Unless they come up with like a belt with a pouch made specifically for it.

Well I can see what Nintendo was trying to do. Some people just don't feel like paying more money for a 3D slider that they have no interest in using.(Either because of personal taste or their eyes get strained).
The no hinges thing works out great for people who have a tendency to break things. It doesn't look as appealing as the normal 3DS though.
The price should have been 119.99usd though. Adding the second circlepad would have been great too.

Even if the 3D was a gimmick, it was still their main selling point. Like, the only reason to get a 3DS is to play games in 3D. Take the 3D part away, what are you left with?

Looks retarded, and uncomfortable. It really does, but those who have actually had a chance to use it have apparently been pleasantly surprised. Still, I think I'll prefer my 3DS XL.

This is quite a step back. I still use my 1st gen DS to play games. It fits comfortably in my pocket, but this... doesn't look very portable to me...

Now, All I see is the 2DS is getting more undeserving flak especially from people who already own a 3DS and people who are not the target demographic.

+Cheap price point
+Doing its job right of being an entry-level handheld
-Retarded design
Personally, the idea is pretty sweet, especially for someone like who not only has no 3DS, but also lives in a poor country where imported shit are overpriced as fuck. Nintendo could have executed the concept better though. I would have been happiest had they made a 3DS Lite.
