And i f you read my spoiler you can actually get Kenny to Join you despite all the past. You need to think "family-like", you need to ask him to help for "Clementine's sake".

The Walking Dead series pretty much went as I expected. No, didn't play the game, just watched various walkthroughs because this feels like a game more entertaining to watch than play.
I'm actually quite concerned about how does this series contribute to the entirety of the Walking Dead universe. The dilemmas and fears and decisions can be much more humane than the comic's, but ultimately was all summarized and done in the comic already. So maybe Clementine was someone important in the comic. So maybe she'll eventually influence something major in the entire series and finally give us some understanding on exactly why everything had happened. Maybe she had a hand in the cure. But honestly, up to this point, The Walking Dead still has this one major problem of not giving answers to the questions people had been asking for god knows how many years already. This game is no different honestly.

It's not about finding about a mastermind behind this incident, It's not about trying to find a cure, There's no bigger goal at the end of each Comic chapter/tv episode.
It's mainly about the survivors: how do they react and how do they try to just survive. Pretty much the same reason Highschool of The Dead got popular back then. It's all about survival.

Well seriously, can't really say much since it's in a indefinite hiatus. I honestly think it hasn't gone wrong yet. Just because it flaunts way more boobies doesn't mean it's bad.

Really? High School of the Dead in my opinion was headed towards a spiral of definite doom from the very first few chapters lol. The extremely excessive fan service damaged the experience much more than it ever should, and its plot wasn't that unique either. Mahou Shoujo of The End was far more terrifying, as unrealistic and terrifying as it was in comparison. The author probably realized just how much he screwed up HSotD and quitted lol.
I get the objective and story that The Walking Dead is trying to get across. What I'd like to say is that the direction it's headed is probably not a good one because of the 'parameters' set. We're exploring the fall of civilization due to an unprecedented and nearly unstoppable apocalypse, and without a 'source' revealed that also means that the author has no intentions of providing hope to the residents of the world for a long period of time (and by long I mean really long, as long as hundreds of years) other than outlasting the zombies. This also means that we're exploring the lives of very first people who were forced to endure the harshest wave of zombie apocalypse and really had absolutely no salvation beyond praying that the next generation would live better than them. Once you've realized that, there is really not much else to be gleaned about from the story. All you're going to get is darkness, all sorts of violences and depression, because that is the point.
And I can't really say that's good, honestly.

That would be smart of the author.
Also, I'm prepping Clementine up to be the savior of mankind. That's all I need.
Also where do you guys have The Walking Dead installed? And is there a bitmap file in it?

God freaking damn.
episode 5 was quite traumatic when it came to pulling at my feelings. I have never before cared for a kid so much in a video game, they often come as annoying, but clementine honey you are the best.
I love the ending. Typical Walking Dead but still...I wanted it to happen.
Lee, you are now video game father of the year in my eyes.

And I can't really say that's good, honestly. You want to see a proper "ending", but there is no ending in the realistic kind of story that the Walking Dead offers. It only ends when the set of Main characters die.
Heck My sister actually cried when I finished Episode 5, that's because she's attached to the characters, which is the main focus of these kind of stories.
This is a kind of story where you are supposed to immerse yourself with the characters, that is why "just watching videos" won't get you nothing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Same thing with HoTD, just because it has more fanservice doesn't mean it's not good Once again it's a subjective matter, If they can offer a good story and offer good fanservice , why not? And what it offers is not being "scary", but once again it offers on how the characters try to survive each day.
-------
So, in the end it's not just the type of Story that you will like.
These are not just "Resident Evil" copies, but their own kind of genre which is just "Survival", the horror is not their main focus.

Well, I can't deny that it's not the type of story that I like. Hmm, no. Should I say that I already got used to these themes so much that I don't feel for them anymore?
To me, the medium does not matter. It could be a book, a movie, a game, a video, a talk, anything. Everything to me is a story. It's the same level of immersion no matter the type of interaction, so would not have made a difference if I had played the game. In fact, since my joy of life is to 'read', playing the game might actually tone down the emotion for me.
