We all seen how it ended up with DMC as a okay game, but had some problems. So will that end up the same with Tomb Raider? I mean its a reboot, some suck and some rarely pull it off. I have seen the process of how it looks and plays, and the story looks great. So will you buy it or just brush it off to the side.

well i would say Square Enix is a lot more trustable than Gearbox or Capcom (at the moment). however i dont know much about tomb raider so i can't really say. the hunting part they show in the demo really reminds me of Metal Gear Solid 3, which is a good thing.
i think at the very least it should be a decent game.

I'm trusting Square on this. They have a good rep and make (mostly) solid games.
The idea of showing her before she's the Tomb Raider we all know makes me want to play this game to see how her character changes from a scared, alone girl stuck on an island to more of a fearless dungeon-crawling gunslinger.

Never been a fan of the series, but I don't I think they wanted to make the character more relatable & realistic(not a good sign), but I guess if the gameplay is improved people won't really mind.

Couldn't really get into the series because the controls were crappy and frustrating, but I just might give this a try.

The first 4 Tomb Raider games were some of my favorite games growing up. Chronicles was ok and Angel of Darkness could have been great if the controls werent god aweful... they scrapped that story and kind of rebooted the franchise a little bit with Legend and i hated the direction it went in, the game took the focus away from solving puzzles and traversing terrain while battling monsters and badguys and such to way more action oriented gun fighting based game with the occasional ridiculously easy puzzle. Legend and Underworld kind of took away what made Tomb Raider and enjoyable game for me. I fear i will never again feel the joy of accidently discovering a secret room that has a large medpack and an extra Uzi clip lying on the floor because i curiously tried to go somewhere that it didnt look like i was supposed to go.
Anyways, now that im done being a nostalgia fag... from what ive seen of this new one the gameplay reminds me a hell of a lot of the Uncharted games, except with a bit more stealth and intuitive thinking involved when tackling different situations. I have faith that it will be a good game, i just hope they incorporate some of the puzzle solving and exploration that made the old tomb raider games so great.

First review I read gave it a 18/20
"Captivating adventure" "technically superb" "rewarding explorations" "awesome gunfights" to quote a few praises.
"Puzzles could have been harder" "Forgettable secondary characters" "Lara's ponytail moving weirdly in the wind" are the only downsides he found to the game.
Machinima gave it a 6/10
Gametrailers 8.5/10

The clueless gamer made me want to try this outI agree with Conan.
We've skipped ahead and I've been asked to tone down the sexual comments.

It's hardly fair to compare Ninja Theory to Crystal Dynamics. CD have been the only developers working on the Tomb Raider franchise since 2003, they've had years of time to perfect their formulas.

Mah nigga Conan's words were like gospel. Conan spoke for every self-respecting, heterosexual human male on the planet. I agree with every single noise that came out of his mouth, including the part about him being a woman in a man's body, but especially the part where he asserts that the devs are geniuses. How? Lara Croft is perfect. She is a 10/10 on some scales and 14/10 on others. She has a perfect face, she has perfect lips, eyes, nose, and hair. She has the perfect hip to waist ratio and she's fit. She has perfect tits, perfect cleavage, and moans a lot (the moans are, of course, perfect too; sexy, but not the "get this vibrator out of me, I'm trying to concentrate" kind of sexy). The camera angle was carefully researched and QTEs are a major part of the game (so I've heard). Which is brilliant because it frees up one of your hands to handle more important matters.
The people at Crystal Dynamics are wonderful, plus they have a great sense of humor. Remember that time when a trailer featured attempted sexual assault and the feminists went apeshit? Then Crystal trolled them by getting a female dev to defend the game. Now they released the game and it's just X amount of hours of femtrolling. They made the game sexy, but not sexy to the point where feminists will have a valid argument, like they would with a game like DMC4 (Lady and Trish) or Mass Effect 3 (EDI and Chobot). This new Lara Croft has earned her place among the likes of Lightning (from FF13-2 and beyond). Speaking of whom, I like how Square Enix perfected her after FF13.
If you are a red-blooded, self-respecting, proper-taste-in-women-having, heterosexual male, then after seeing these:
if your first thought isn't "where do I insert," then you don't deserve to bask in this era's CG and should go back to the early 1990s, where women had trapezoid tits.
