Trauma Team

The last of the featurettes have been released on Trauma Team's official website, and the last featurette is from the composer Atsushi Kitajoh (who also made the OST for New Blood, which was by the way, pretty awesome).
Along the article they provide samples of 3 tracks included in the game. A "intense theme music" track, "Subdued theme music" track and the "Pre-op jingle". And things look awesome already.
From the songs in the videos I provided and these 3 samples, I think it's fairly safe to say that this new OST will kick ass. Which is very important in this game, seeing how it heavily relies on it to set the various moods.
Also, 1 month left! :D
ps: For people who are also looking forward to this game, reading the featurettes is highly reccomendable.

Guys, the game is out and I've played it. It was only 30 minutes or so, I only did 3 surgery missions. But let me tell you, it was awesome!
I'll talk about the stylized blood and whatnot first, which is what I was most fearful of. The blood doesn't actually look all that stylized when in game, and looks realistic enough to make you tense, what with everything else going on.
Now, about the comic style storytelling. I'm a bit disappointed about how it looks, but it's a change of pace. There's lots of reused character shots and long silent pauses in between some scenes. But who knows, I've only played 30 minutes, I'll surely grow into it.
Now the music. There are only 2 words to describe it, FUCKING AMAZING. Seriously, this looks to be the best OST so far. It's such a thrill when it's a tense mission (aren't they all?).
Anyways, that's about it. Anybody else got it or is planning to get it?

i just started playing this a couple of days ago and it's my favorite trauma XXXX game.
i played the first two DS ones. i liked the first until the ALIEN PARASITES bullshit, and the second one started with that pretty much immediately so i hated it too. i tried the first one on the wii, the one at launch, and was frustrated by the wii controls, especially when using the scalpel, combined with the time limit
trauma team has taken out the sci-fi bullshit (tho theres still some wacky stuff there), added more animated cutscenes with dialogue (usually well-acted too) so theyre more compelling, more gameplay variety, and no fucking time limits, with an increased emphasis on precision and taking your time over CUT CUT SLICE ITS ALL IN THE MIND. seriously theyre in the OR most of the time, vitals shouldnt be dropping like crazy all the time. it makes sense in Torres' levels, and I guess the prisoner dude, since his are the most intense operations.
prisoner guy: classic trauma gameplay, for better or worse. i find the character to be generic and the gameplay to be same-old.
torres: cool babe, fun levels.
HANK FREEBIRD: fuckin rad name, superhero dude, neat new procedures, relaxed. ownage.
that japanese butthole probe chick: levels kinda boring, but have their moments. motioning the wiimote forward constantly is annoying. girl is kinda boring.
Anime House: best levels. talk to people, find out whats wrong. put stethoscope on big anime titties. i like, is nice. look at pictures, find waldo. wheres waldo? hes the shadow on this ct scan. this patient has waldo-itis.
CSI babe: character is ok but the levels are SO. GOD. DAMN. BORING. hey lets review this evidence for like the 5th time. send random things to be analyzed by Anime Chase and mash other random cards together. oftentimes the answers to the questions don't really make sense. example:
"The amount of blood on her clothing is odd... Why?"
The answer is "There are no marks on the clothing from an injury" but her shirt was open and the corpse was skeletonized, which means it could have easily been a stabbing in the chest or neck that caused it.
it's basically like phoenix wright but way worse. the perpetrators are always really obvious too. oh its the suspcious electrician, who was the only other person to enter the building? its the girls parents who had bruises on their faces and didn't want to talk about or didnt seem to care about their daughters death? HOLY SHIT
theyre also long as fuck, esp annoying when they can be figured out in about 10 minutes.
im not gonna play any more of csi babe's levels, theyre way too long and boring.
cool game overall tho.
e: are there any hentai doujins of trauma team? there are some fine-lookin womenfolk in it, im surprised ive never seen any.

Cool review Jeff. Though I have an opposite opinion regarding the time limits and previous trauma center stories.
I actually didn't dislike the whole sci fi parasite drama thing, as it made for some exciting action. And the time limits helped complement that. They added a whole new level on tension and difficulty to the missions that made them extremely satisfying to complete.
This one not only takes the time out (regarding surgery only), but it has much less missions than what I expected (sure, the game is divided by 6 medical styles now, but for fucks sake, you can beat the whole surgery part in less than 10 minutes of gameplay) and the difficulty was ridiculously downgraded. All this made the surgery game much less satisfying than in previous wii trauma center games.
But first response actually made up for that. Though it suffers one common problem, length. It would definitely be more enjoyable if the levels were longer.
Regarding Forensics, I share some of the feelings. Some of the stuff was way too obvious, or needless work, or unnecessary. But ultimately the stories managed to win me over. I found them to be quite well thought out.
Do you mean Second Opinion? That game was fairly easy. You should give New Blood a try. Refined controls, better plot (in my opinion), harder levels.
And about the doujins, I have not seen any. Not even hentai pics. The only trauma thing I've seen out there are 2 or 3 doujins from Second Opinion which are meh.

I agree it's not hard at all but again I kinda like that. The only time I've failed was in one of Torres' missions (the ferris wheel one, cause I completely forgot about the dude getting the metal cut out of him) but I don't really mind it. I think the difficulty was probably ok in the DS ones (I dont really know, as I mentioned I quit when the alien things turned out to not be a one-off), but if it was difficult on the Wii I would probably be pulling my hair out at the controls, as with that first one. And no, I'm not trying the second one. Screw those, I wanna be Anime House and HANK FREEBIRD.
I liked the bit with CSI babe at the end of the second mission with it turning out she's dying, but I'm still not playing the rest of that bullshit. Probably no more of butt-probe either. The rest are good enough, I don't think I'll be missing much.

So you haven't actually finished the game? Dude, just endure it a bit, every character has really short stories (asides from forensics, but it gets more amusing near the end).
Random fact, you can complete most of Maria's missions even if you let a few patients die. But I found it so easy that I would retry the mission till I managed to save everyone. Still, needed more content on that and surgery. I'd also greatly appreciate some more content in Diagnosis, which was so damn awesome.

Finished it a couple weeks ago.
This seems to be a great entry game for new players who did not play the previous ones since it has a new story and main characters (mostly).
What i really liked was the presentation of the entire game and how it melded seamlessly with the gameplay. It makes sense that the patient i diagnosed will receive treatment from another doctor later on! Also, the comic book style presentation really helped change it up from the previous portrait with text.
The only 2 problems i really had was the endoscopy missions and the difficulty. First i found probing in a guy's colon to be too sensitive at times, and really those missions are too alike for my taste. Thankfully, there are not very much of them. The other is purely subjective, but i thought the game lost some of its tension with the easier difficulty, though i loved the removal of the time limit.
Overall, I had a load of fun. My rating: ROCK SOLID!

Ain't enough to keep me from playing it. Since the game doesn't seem like it's going to be brought to Europe and all. If it does get licensed, I'll buy it.

im surprised wii games aren't region free, really. im sure thats helped the ps3 and ds import business a hell of a lot.
