Trinity Universe

... Is coming out in 3 days here in Europe (in 7 days in the US) and that's a pretty good thing because I've been craving for some j-rpgs since I was done with RoF and FF13 on the PS3.

Trinity Universe is a crossover that gathers characters from Disgaea and the Atelier series. I'm not familiar at all with both games but I already played Cross Edge (which is also a NIS crossover) some time ago and it was pretty good, gameplay wise at least.

Now, for those who are keeping an eye on Trinity Universe or those who already played it, what are your thoughts on it? Time wise, how big is the game? I'm only relying on videos so far so I'm really short on info.

This looks promising.... Should I get it?

PS3 only I believe.

I might pick this up along with Cross Edge since I haven't gotten my fill of RPGs in a while...

They messed up with the screens apparently.

I'm looking forward to the game. The graphics look really nice (Characters are in 3-D meaning Etna, Flonne, and Prinny from Disgaea will be a first using 3-D character models) when in conversation the characters frames move which is pretty cool. The only thing I can say is if this is like Cross Edge the game will probably be below average but if you enjoy getting a lot of play time out of a game or like the cute characters you could really end up liking this game (Which is what will happen to me)

Trinity Universe got a 6/8/8/7 from FAMITSU review magizine. for those of you who don't know how there reviews work then I'll explain. Instead of just 1 person reviewing a game they have 4 different type of gamers review it of 1-10 and with 4 of them having a maximum score for a game being 40/40. If i can add correctly right now it got a 29/40. But this is all just an opinion.

That's a pretty good score. Although I don't trust FAMITSU as much as I use to...

I'll be picking it up once it goes down in price.

Looking forward to this, but what i'm seriously waiting on Atelier Rorona and Ar Tonelico 3.

I wonder if they'll keep the original voices in japanese like they did with Xedge.

It's Nippon Ichi right? They've always been good with keeping in Japanese dubs. At least recently anyways, so I'm sure they'll keep it in this game as well.

Generally speaking anything out of Gust or Nippon Ichi will always have Japanese available, since both companies pretty much cater only to an Anime crowd they know what most of us want. Anyhow, i saw Pamela in that clip and my interest level just rose..

had to lol at the reverse release dates... first EU (25/6), then US (19/6) and Japan at last(10/1)
