Vindictus (Mabinogi Heroes)

I played this for a while. Hit the early-access beta level cap before I stopped. Was one of the first people to figure out how to glitch onto the third boat before it was opened, netting the last item needed to complete the giant grizzly bear armor set.

This game was really fun for a while, but after they closed the third boat, it finally dawned on me that the continuous bear grinding and mission spamming for levels that took 4 days was EXACTLY what I'd be doing all the way up to level 200... and that the levels had no bearing on anything but the missions you can take and the gear you can wear.

Don't misunderstand me: Vindictus was incredibly fun, and well done for a devCAT/Nexon game. It just got really, really repetitive for me after a while.

Gameplay wise, if Mabinogi, Monster Hunter, Phantasy Star Online, and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles all got drunk and met for a night of impassioned romance, the happy accident would be Vindictus.

I merged the topics, i dunno why though.

Evie in 4 1/2 hours at the time of posting. If anyone else is waiting for her, I'll be creating her under the name Droomy, so add me in-game come the time of release.

also, content update on the 1st.

I can't wait for the Dec 1st update, getting bored of farming red tyrant and blood prince on my Evie (Ruana). I like the look of the new armor and weapons, not to menttion the 4th boat (about time). Too bad the cap only goes up 6 levels, so it will be back to farming AP, etc until the next boat.

Yay rose set finally available and finally we can finish crafting goddamn blood silk.

There was a reason for the small level cap increase, but I forget what it was. It made sense though...

I looked around their forum and it does make sense (from what tidbits I searched for).

I'm glad that Nexon is steadily adding in the new content, I really don't mind the wait...just a part of me really wants to get out of this town to see the castle and run around in the open, lol.

btw is the giant spider the new raid boss? Also it crafts to spider lord set right?

Vindictus is so addicting! Give Devcat props for this one especially since it doesn't tear a hole in my wallet. :D

Bumping this because I'm a bump whore.

This game is pretty good. It's nice to play a MMO that isn't just clicking the mouse button for hours on end. The combat is solid, though I can see it getting old after a while. The graphics also impressed me a good deal, it's one of the most beautiful MMO's I've ever played. For reals, and it runs without a hitch as well(by hitch I mean lag etc). Don't know if I'll stick with it in the long run, but it seems likely that I'll be playing it for a few more weeks at the very least.
